Netgear has entered the business cyber security market by obtaining an Exium, a company specialized in a safe cloud-based networking.
The company says that this step is part of the long-term strategy of the netgier to serve small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) with simplified, high-performance connectivity solutions.
By integrating the technique of exium into its portfolio, Netgear aims to go beyond traditional VPNS and structure a modern safe access service age (SASE) that addresses both networking and safety requirements.
Enterprise-grade security manageable for small IT teams
With this step, the company believes that it can not only offer a strong business VPN option, but also a broad, user -friendly platform.
The integration of the eXium platform will enable network to develop an all-in-one system that combines wired and wireless networking with underlying security features.
“AI has changed the danger scenario for large businesses with small and medium enterprises, but solutions to SMEs are often very difficult to apply or need to work on the network and manage separately,” the Pramod Badjet, Chairman and Netgier’s GM said.
“By offering Exium Sase solution with the target of integrating it in our Insight Cloud Management platform, we will be able to bring our customers a spontaneous, single-off-glass solution that are easily deployed and managed by small IT teams or MSPS.”
The acquisition also sets the phase for better hardware that supports advanced safety functions excluded outside the box.
With its sightseeing to become the top provider of VPN routers for business users, Netgier’s purpose is to distribute networking devices that are protected by design.
The company’s established expertise in wireless hardware is combined with the cyber security layer of acium, which means SMEs may soon benefit from the ready-to-use router and offer both performance and security.
The origin of the platform of the exium has a zero-trust architecture, which aligns with the plan of Netgear to give a major zero trust network access (ZTNA) solution for its customer base.
