While previous studies have forced the mass of formonic dark matter using quantum principles such as Pauli’s exclusion theory, Bosonic dark matter remained less forced. In a recent study, scientists have estimated a new lower range on the mass of ultra-light bosonic dark matter particles.

According to study Published In physical review papers, the mass of ultralight bosonic dark matter should be more than 2 × 10–21 electron volts (EV), which is 100 times higher than previous estimates using Hygenberg’s uncertainty theory.
The team of researchers, the first writer of the study, Tim Zimraman, a Ph.D. The candidate from The Institute of theoretical Astrophysics, University of Oslo focused on his method of Milky Way’s Satellite Galaxy’s Data. It is 1,000 times smaller dwarf galaxy than Milky Way. By analyzing the internal speed of the stars within the Leo II – the dark is influenced by the dark matter – the team received 5,000 potential dark matter density profile using a device called GravSphere.
He compared them with a profile generated by quantum wave tasks of various dark material particle mass. If the particle is very lighter, the quantum fasting makes it very thinner, preventing it from creating the observed structures. The study concluded that dark matter particle should have more mass than 2.2 × 10 × 10 × electron volt (EV) compared to previous low estimates.
