Nintendo has taken steps to deal with the so-called ‘Eslop’ on Switch 2-at least in Japan and in some areas of Asia.
In a report from IgnNintendo has implemented new guidelines for publishing on Switch 2 Ishop, most of which (if not all), of which less quality of which appears to target the tire of the ‘Eslop’ game. How successful it proves to be seen in these early days, but it looks at least like a nintendo Effort To make Eshop a better experience on Switch 2 than its predecessor.
So what in the guidelines? Well, the first is about the bundles. The new rule states that the maximum number of eligible titles for bundles is five within the first year of the release of a game. This number then increases from one for each year, the game is available, up to a maximum of eight. It appears that a strategy used by some publishers is being targeted in which constant bundles will be advertised to keep their game near the top of the Isop listing.
The second direction sees sensitive materials. Nintendo specifically explains what will be the formation of sensitive materials, and this includes “sexualization of children, excessive sexual content, discrimination and hatred, exploitation of social issues, directing criminal activity and political statements”. The third guideline targets the game with incorrect details, “it is prohibited for providing the incorrect details of the content of a product. It is prohibited to provide details of the content of a product as it is not expected to be implemented in the product”.
And finally, Nintendo can seriously isolate any harsh change from any title change and its presence on other platforms without any reason, preventing any rigorous changes in any game without any title.
Finally, the titles that violate these guidelines may have amendments requested by the nintendo, or in some cases, may completely refuse to sell the game on the ESHOP. As we have mentioned at the top, it is still in the early days, so it remains to be seen how successful the guidelines can prove to be ‘ESLOP’ out, but it is expected that we will see a lot of cures on the ESHOP in the coming months and years.
We will ensure you to tell you whether and when these guidelines are applicable in the West.
