After several waves of wireless buds, similar (and no-equal), nothing is starting its first pair of over-ear headphones. The headphone 1 combines the company’s identifiable C-Through beauty with a complicated array and listening to 35 hours with active noise cancellation (ANC). By hand, for its most premium audio launch, so far $ 299 headphones with the launch of new flagship smartphone of nothing: Phone 3.
First raids are everything, and they look like a headphone. Once again, the company has included a transparent design element. There is also an oval shape that shows a part of the hardware inside, which is layered above an aluminum rectangle with curved corners. Two metal dots on each oval are part of the acoustic chambers, not button input as you can think. While the white option looks more “nothing”, I think I like black, which makes the company’s design options a little more subtle.
Nothing touches the sensor for buttons, paddles and a roller. The roller is a good touch, which provides a more sensitive way to adjust the volume rather than a sudden level of jump. It can also be pressed to play and stop the tracks. Long presses switch the headphones between active noise cancellation and transparency mode here. An unusual aspect is that the roller moves towards the side, even when the volume has ups and downs. This seems a little odd.
Just below this, paddle control acts as a track skipper, but includes the ability to scrub both forward and back similar to the old-school rewind. The latter feature depends on the support for the third-party application.
On the same headphone cup, there is also a traditional button that serves as a shortcut for voice assistants and nothing software, my favorite bit of the required place. Nothing is added to another boon when nothing is paired with the phone, it allows you to switch the original between recent audio apps without the need to touch your phone. (Naturally, you are hostage or lifted up for whatever you were playing.) This feature will first be compatible with the phone 3, which will be before rolling out for some of the older equipment. In addition to general music streaming suspects, there is already support from the choice of audio, soundcloud and patron.
There is also an almost secret Bluetooth pairing button on the inner side of the same ear cup. It is good that this is a dedicated button as you are unlikely to be ineffective using primary button and control.
Nothing is put in rest and fitting the work, and mostly as wireless earbud listeners, I was pleasantly surprised at how the sub -12 -ounces (329 grams) headphones felt. They are almost two ounces lighter than Airpods Max, which seems to be a product that aiming to compete with. However, there are light over-ear headphones including many Bose models and Sony WH-1000xm6, which weigh less than nine ounces.
There is enough pu leather padding around the ear cushion and headband, and the company says it should oppose oil and makeup. In my testing my so far, it was easy to wipe any sweat residues. (I want the ear to change the cushion, however.) Adjustable weapons were also organized at the length I liked while wearing them. I haven’t tested them yet while working in the gym-they were subject to Ambargo after all-but over-ear headphone is an acquired taste for those who sweat it while listening to music.
Sound-wise, nothing has created custom 40 mm dynamic drivers, with support for hi-race audio, located audio with head tracking and ANC with four feedback mixes. The compartments also support double device connections, allowing you to expect anything new to your new phone (3) and your laptop.
KEF assisted with acoustic engineering and proprietary tuning tools, apparently a target to create a sound profile that reproduces music as music. According to nothing, the team worked to achieve it in general playback, ANC and spatial audio mode.
The headphone (1) seems slightly bass-forward, but the soundscape wireless is much rich than any collection of boys. Compared to the most premium headphones, however, vocals sometimes slightly sloppy. (In protecting nothing, these are pre-relaes units and software. If things are better, I will update this story.)
The updated version of the Nathing X app includes the ability to switch to the 8-band EQ and “button” (separate for an additional control, paddle and roller) channel hoping, AI voice assistant, noise control, spatial audio and even on your favorite EQ preset.
Nothing states that the headphone (1) will offer audio playback for 80 hours, and ANC up to 35 hours with competent. With ANC-in the mode I use the most cool middle-office-I found around that time. You will be able to get more than two and a half hours of hearing with a quick charge of five minutes.
Headphone 1 has a divisive form. Next to the launch, I showed them to other editors in Engadget and some squares were amazed by mixed use of aluminum and circular elements. But, it is different, and it is nothing. Its new headphone will be available for pre-order starting on July 4, in which the sale is discontinued from July 15. They reach black and white colored options, priced at $ 299 (£ 299/€ 299).
