Google has quietly halted the rollouts of one of the most promising AI features set to get into Google photos. Experimental feature is gradually playing from last year, but now Google wants to spend some more time in it.
A small break that will give better results than expected
Ask Photo was one of the most exciting AI features that Google declared for his photo app last year. One in Special blog post Announcing the convenience, Google stated that it would use a very specific version of the Mithun fully designed to work with photos.
The goal here was to provide all those who use Google photos in an easy way to find photos they needed to find. However, since this feature began to roll for Android devices of final decline, it has seen a notable spiral in efficiency and utility.
This spiral has clearly inspired Google to silently stop the rollout, with the news coming in the news A post on X A product manager for Google photos from Jamie Aspinol. In the post, the aspinol responds to some comments criticizing the system. He says “Ask the photo right now that is not where it should be” and the team is closing the rollout to improve its speed, quality and UX design. They estimate that it will return within a few weeks.
First Gemini No Letdown
This, of course, the first time Gemini does not require a little more time in the oven. Last year, shortly after the introduction of AI overview in Google Search, the Tech veteran had to pull the rollout back slightly, to try to clean some nonsense AI overview. Even now, months later, AI continues to answer poorly based on questions.
What is telling the most about this special break, however, it is that Google has not actually announced it. The company is definitely keeping its card closer to the chest, which makes sense because it has come into the fire in the past how Gemini performs.
On the fact that the photos ask that that large part of a user is not yet rolled out – the product manager said that the number was still small – and this is the right opportunity for some quiet improvement.
Of course, those who have received updates in Google photos will possibly notice when things kick back in action, as the photos hope to be more sensitive and better to do their work.
Till then, however, no one is eager to reach the facility of this new Google photo, they will have to wait.
