Openai is Announced A large update for Codex, which is the company’s agent coding tool.
Changes include new vs. code extensions, sink support between web and terminal and more.
If you are a plus or pro subscription, now you can use Codex with every build, and no matter where you use Codex.
It now also works in your terminal or IDE. Codex has always supported the web.

Openai states that your Chatgpt account adds all this, so you can originally work without losing the state between your local environment and the cloud of Codex.
If you use cursor, which is based on VS, you can use the new extension of Codex that brings Codex into the VS code, cursor and other VS code fork.
“Available in both IDE and CLI, eliminating the API key setup and providing direct access through its existing Chatgpt scheme,” Openai said.
In addition, Openai has added seamless local, cloud handoff, meaning that developers can locally pair with Codex and then hand over the tasks to the clouds to execute the state without losing the state.

Some new commands and many bug fixes are also upgraded to Codex CLI.
Openai is not just a company connecting its web coding agent with a terminal tool. Cloud is also testing the cloud code for the web.
