Openai is testing an AI-operated browser that uses chromium as its underlying engine, and it can debut on Macos first.
My sources tell me that OpenIAI has already started updating the chat to power the Chrome rival.
Openai is creating an AI-operated tab selection, a new tab page and a feature that allows the browser to browseing for you. It can be similar to the Copilot mode in the age.
Openai already has agent mode in Chatgpt.
For those unknown people, the agent mode in the Chatgpt is operated by a Linux terminal and uses chromium browser to execute the functions in the cloud, and it handles requests such as “a powerpoint presentation using my documents and internet sources”.

I have been using agent mode in chat for some time right now. It is very good and neatly handles most of my tasks.
My sources tell me that Openai’s browser is based on an integrated agent system, but if it looks like Chrome, I would not be surprised. I mean, at the end of the day, it is a browser.
First Reuters Informed This will give you more reasons to stay inside the chat interface of the browser than going to websites a chatgpt-based browser.
