    Paragvayan Law Enforcement has deported three persons and arrested another for an attempt to steal crypto miners in a feature near the country’s ITAIPU hydroelectric dam.

    According Statements from Paraguayan prosecutor Ireen Rollon on 15 May, The men were soon caught by the police after breaking into a closed section of Teratch SA facility in Coronal Bogado, which led to their arrest.

    Prosecutors believe that men would have tied up with Tretch as independent contractors, but are still waiting for the company’s CEO on the official confirmation.

    The three exiled Chinese citizens were Jonping Duan, Tian Jianyun and Zheng Guanglong, who did not have an official admission records in the country. Paraguayan officers and Interpol believe that men illegally entered through Brazil or Bolivia.

    Another person was arrested, Nahun Maria Velzke’s Garcate, is a legal resident in Paraguay, but is believed to be part of a criminal organization.

    He has been accused of increased theft and is currently in pretial custody.

    The arrested person was admitted to the hospital in critical condition immediately after his arrest, but continuous injuries were not revealed.

    Paraguay officials believe that other persons were involved in theft attempt and are working to identify them. For example, the case is still under investigation.

    Must have been working illegally for an exiled months

    Rolon It is believed that the unspecified immigrants were in Paraguay for several months and came to work as a programmer. However, it is not clear whether this work was done for the company.

    Paraguay is considered well favorable for crypto mining operations, due to its abundant renewable energy resources, most of which have been reduced.

    The Itipu Dam has become a popular site to install miners, as it supplies all local power needs of Paraguay and leaves to tap a large amount of excess power.
