“Photoshop” is synonymous with image editing – the app is an industry standard, and over 30 years. But when Photoshop has been available on the computer forever and on the tablet for some time, people wishing to edit images on their smartphone have had to be made due to competitive programs.
It changed early this year. In February, Adobe officially provided Photoshop on the iPhone. Just three months later, it has now released the app in beta on Android, and you can officially download it to the platform. Go to the app store or Play Store, find “Photoshop”, and you will not only see the general options – such as Literoom, Canva, and Facatune – but the real deal. In addition, the app is free in addition to many numbers of its “core imaging and design tools”.
According to the company, you will be able to use the following devices, free:
-
Selection, layers and masks
-
Select the tool
-
spot Healing Brush
-
Adobe firefly AI features, such as generative phil and generative expansion
-
Integration with Adobe Express, Adobe Fresco and Adobe Lightroom
-
Reach the “hundreds of thousands” of free adobe stock assets

In its initial announcement in February, the company showed that many editing could use an app: using a masking tool to copy a subject from one image and paste it into another; Using “quick selection brush” to separate parts of an image from the final product; Laying several images on each other to create a dramatic but realistic classification of objects around the subject; Protecting the rest, changing the color of an element of an image; And choosing items to quickly remove them from the scene.
Of course, Adobe is also carrying forward its AI features – that is, generic filler. In a demo, a representative needs to put an island on the image of an ocean. They use gluten tools, where in the image they want they want that island, then use generous filler to make a grass piece of ground with AI. In the second, generous filler is used to remove a background, it is replaced with the sky seen in a separate part of the image.
If you have a previous photoshop experience, you should be quite familiar with the equipment and features of this avatar of the program. However, it may take you a moment to get your bearings. This version certainly feels like a mobile app and acts, meaning that its UI looks like many other image editing apps that you can use first. For example, it can take some tests and error before understanding where it is located all your general options and features. In addition, it is a specific photoshop experience, which is distilled in mobile form.
What do you think so far?
There are more paid features (but they are temporarily free on Android)
While Photoshop and its “core” features are free to download and use on the iPhone, if you choose to pay there are more features and allowances. Adobe has “Photoshop Mobile and Web Plan” for customers who want more on iOS, iPados, Android and web versions of the app. This includes:
-
Access to photoshop on web
-
Extended access to firefly-driven AI tools, such as the same and reference image
-
Access to over 20,000 fonts (or import your own)
-
Select for object accurate selection
-
Magic stick for targeted adjustment
-
Remove equipment
-
Clone stamp
-
Ingredients
-
Advanced blend mode to style your image
-
“Light” and “dark” to lighten or darken different parts of an image
The scheme costs $ 7.99 per month, or $ 69.99 per year. If you already pay for Photoshop, now all these allowances have been included in your plan.
Additional facilities are free while the Android version is in beta
The good news for Android users is Adobe Making all these facilities for free while the app is in betaIf you also have a passing interest in Photoshop, I would recommend checking the beta ASAP to try these premium features.
