
The Pokémon company shared a tribute on social media after the passage of Voice actor James Carter Cathart for a long time, who died at the age of 71 last week.
With small tribute videos of many roles of voice actor in Pokémon Anime – where Carter played with a message below with Professor Oak, Gary Oak, Mewath and Team Rocket’s James -:
“We are unhappy with other reputed characters for the passage of James Carter Cathcart, the voice behind the Professor Oak, Gary Oak, James and Mewath of Team Rocket, and in many years for the Pokémon animated series in many years.
In addition to his voice work, James provided more than 700 episodes of the script for the animated series, shaping stories that define the generations of fans. From the first episodes to the last trips, James brought warmth, humor and unforgettable attraction to the Pokémon world. His talent gave life to some of our most loved characters, and his legacy will continue to reach the hearts of instructors everywhere.
James’s voice will always be a part of our adventure. Our thoughts and condolences are with his family and friends. ,
Carter recorded voice lines for anime’s more than 700 episodes, but retired from voice acting in 2023 after diagnosis of throat cancer.
