
Law enforcement officers from more than a dozen countries have arrested 20 suspects in an international operation targeting the production and distribution of child sexual abuse materials.
Starting in the late 2024, the Spanish National Police discovered several immediate message groups dedicated to the circulation of child sexual abuse images and a vigilant officers in other countries through Interpol and Europeol after identifying 88 suspects in the US, Europe, Asia and Oceania.
“In December 2024, Interpol invited Spanish investigators to attend the Latin America -affected Identity Task Force meeting in Chile,” International Police Organization Said,
“There, he presented Operation Vibora to special officials in Latin America, allowing them to exchange, provide solid leads and initiate coordinated action.”
Spanish officer Arrested In Barcelona, Valadolid, Sevilla, Murcia and Jain, seven suspects, including a teacher, were accused of sharing child sexual abuse materials online and a health worker accused the minors from Eastern Europe of paying for CSAM material. The operation also led to the seizure of computer, mobile phones and other equipment.
In Latin America, Interpol assisted the arrest of ten more suspects in seven countries, including three in Al Salvador and one teacher in Panama, Europe and in the United States.
Previous operations targeting CSAM platforms
Earlier this year, another joint international inquiry led by Bavaria’s state criminal police and Baymen Cyber Crime Prosecutors took the kidflix below, which was one of the largest child sexual abuse material (CSAM) platforms on the dark web.
Dubbed operation stream, 79 arrests due to action, 1,393 suspects were identified, and more than 3,000 electronic equipment were seized between 10 March and 23 March 2025
In February, law enforcement agencies of 19 countries also arrested 25 suspects, distributing AI-Janit CSAM associated with a large criminal ring, identifying 273 suspected criminal network members and seizing 173 equipment.
Thousands of pedophiles shared and downloaded to CSAM were also recorded last year, which were recorded by the future inspector using the information-dictation malware logs leaked on the dark web.
