Since I tested the original Puma Velocity Nitro in 2021, it is the shoe line that I most often suggest the runners.
The first three generations of shoes were comfortable, with versatile daily trainers with an excellent outsol. I had the only real criticism with veg nitro 2 and 3 that they were similar to the original shoes.
Puma Velocity Nitro 4 is a large upgrade for a new midsol design that makes shoes lighter and improves the ride. It is one of the best running shoes available and until you need stability shoes, this is one that I recommend to check out.

The Puma Velocity Nitro 4 was launched on 8 July and the cost of $ 140 in the US is that the $ $ 5 growth on the veg nitro 3 is for a price that corresponds to other popular daily trainers such as Nike Pegasus 41, Asics Novablast 5 and Hoka Clifton 10.
In the UK, Veg Nitro 4 is just £ 110, which is cheaper than most of its rivals and Puma Velocity Nitro 3 is the same value.
Puma Velocity Nitro 4 Review: Design and Fit
Veg Nitro 4 was launched in the way of blue and white, and it fits me well in the shape of its normal running shoes – the same size that I have worn on each generation of shoes till date.
Although the velocity slightly wide compared to nitro 3, this new version is still quite narrow shoe, which suits me as a narrow leg. If you need or like a broad toe-box, you can find it a little tight.
Veg Nitro 4 has the same stack height and falls as veg nitro 3, which is 36 mm long on the heel and 26 mm at the forefront of a decline of 10 mm.
It is a mild shoe, however, thanks to the re -designed midsol. Veg Nitro 4 is 8.7oz in the shape of my American men, while veg nitro 3 is 10oz in the same size.
Upper
Velocity Nitro 4 has an engineer Aries upper that reinforces the puma of Puma to add more support and structure.
There is a little throne on the tongue and then more on the collar of the shoe, but it still feels light and it is sufficient breath for me while running in a heat.
Midsol
The first generations of veg nitro had a dual density with a layer of nitrogen-infused nitro foam of the puma at the top of a layer of a iva content of the profile.
Among these two foams, nitro springer is a mild material, so the fact that velocity nitro 4 is a midsol made of completely nitro, explaining the decline in weight, and also improves shoes rides.
Exterior sole
Puma running shoes are famous for being excellent outsol, and Veg Nitro 4 uses the same durable pummagrip rubber that occurs most as the range.
It holds well on wet roads and also has light trails, and the rubber layer on velocity nitro 4 is impressively thick, which is thick looking at the light weight of the shoes.
Puma Velocity Nitro 4 Review: Running Performance
I have used every generation of veg nitro massively, often after keeping the shoes in my rotation for a long time, I finished the test for my review, and Vaha Nitro 4 is my favorite version of the shoes yet.
It is a throne daily trainer who can handle everything a little bit. When you only want to comfort, you can use it for easy runs, but it is light and faster that the tempo is also sufficient to deal with runs and sessions.
While the Velocity Nitro 4 is not maximized as the throne, such as shoes such as Asics Novablast 5 or Puma’s own magnifying nitro 3, it is especially very protection under the heel, and I enjoyed the shoes comfortably in the shoes.
When you increase the speed, it has a light and poppy ride with nitrophom midsol, which gives a good amount of energy returns. I was working in Puma from 7/miles to about 5: 45/miles and it was great.
Plated trainer or carbon plate running shoes have a rapid infection from heel to toe and more propulsive ride, and I use one of those who do themselves in rotation with Velocity Nitro 4, but if you want just a shoe for everything, there is no slutch for the puma speedwork.
The only minor reservation with me with shoes is that its narrow base can make it unsuitable for runners who need stability.
I myself had no problem with shoes on this front, but the New Balance Ribel V5 is a light daily training option with a broad design.
Should you buy Puma Velocity Nitro 4?
Puma Velocity Nitro 4 is a shoe that I am calling a lot of runners to buy next year. This is a great value – especially in the UK, but also in the US – and a high artist who will suit a lot of runners.
I would say that the only reason to get it is that Puma’s shoes are a pleasant habit of going on sale shortly after launching. So if you stay out for a few months, you can see some savings on your final purchase.
Velocity Nitro 4 is a large upgrade on Velocity Nitro 3 for me, but old shoes still share a lot of similar qualities, so you can find it in sales as a possible option.
If you want a more throne ride, Asics Novablast 5 is a great daily trainer, although heavily. The New Balance Ribel V5 provides more stability than velocity nitro 4 in a single light design, although I prefer the feeling of foam in the puma.
I will use myself puma as a daily trainer for easy and long, especially on the mixed area where I can rely on outsol gripping on light trails, and I think it does the best work in rotation with sharp shoes like Adidas Edizar Evo SL.
However, it is also a good enough all-rounder that you can use as your only running shoe when needed, and it is a great option for beginners.
