Ray-Ban Meta Glass was launched in India on Monday. Developed in collaboration with essilorloxottica, smart glasses are equipped with 12-megapixel ultra-wide camera, open-air speaker and microphone, which enable users to capture snapshots/videos, listen to music, and interact-all go on. With the integration of Meta AI, the company’s Artificial Intelligence (AI) assistant, users can translate hand-free music recognition, live, and obtain reactions about their surroundings through voice-based signals.
In India, the price of Ray-Bain Meta Chashma starts at Rs. 29,900 for skiper and wafer design in shiny Black Colorway. They are also available in the Vafar Matt Black option priced at Rs. 32,100. Meanwhile, the price of Skyler Chalk Gray and Wafer Matte Black Designs is Rs. 35,700.

Ray-Ban Meta Glass is equipped with a 12-megapixel camera and is equipped with an LED light within two circular shaped cutouts on either side of the frame. The LED light also doubles as a recording indicator when the video recording is live. Using the camera, smart glasses can take photos at 3,024 x 4,032 pixel resolution and record 1080p videos by 60 seconds, which can then be shared in meta apps such as Facebook and Instagram. Alternatively, users can avail the meta view app so that they can also be shared on other platforms.
Taking advantage of the camera and five-MIC systems, it allows users to live in the first person’s perspective on Facebook and Instagram, which they are looking with glasses in real time. They are powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon AR1 Gen 1 platform SOC and pack 32 GB of inbuilt storage. According to Meta, smart glasses offer a four -hour battery life on the same charge, and an additional 32 hours with a charging case. They come with an IPX4 rating.
AI features
Taking advantage of the company’s ownership Meta AI Assistant, heavy bank on Ray-Ban Meta Glass AI. Users can call a simple “O Meta AI” Voice Prompt to tolerate various hand -free tasks.
For example, the user may ask, “Hey meta, what is this song?” And Ray-Ban Meta Glass will identify the song using Shazam. This feature is asked to come to work in situations when a great track is playing, such as in a store or cafe, helps users to know and not to know the track or artist’s name. Meta has also equipped its smart glass with a live AI feature that allows it to monitor the video feed in real time using a 12-megapixel camera. Users can invite Meta AI without “Hey Meta” command, ask questions about their surroundings, and even asking questions. Another feature has the ability to send and receive DMS, photos, audio calls and video calls from the app on your glasses. You can simply say, “Hey meta, send a message to Lisa on Instagram”, and according to the smart glasses company, a DM will send on Instagram.
Ray-Ban Meta Glasses users can play music on smart glasses through apps like Spotify, Amazon Music and Apple Music. It takes advantage of a song, playlist, album, station, or even the artist to play wearable voice-to-face functionality. You can also ask about the tracks you are hearing.
