Deputy Energy Minister Petra Konusheko Told state news The outlet Riya Novosty list is distributed in areas where mining activity is high.
“The construction of such a register would allow for the accurate identification of consumers using electricity for mining,” Konushenko said, this step is part of the attempt to legalize the region and curb the power consumption of unlicensed unlicensed.
The initiative comes after last year, Russia has made crypto mining legal in the country. Under the law, businesses and entrepreneurs must register with tax authorities to operate mining facilities.
Private citizens can do mine without registration, but only when they live within the government-set limit for electricity use. Despite the size, all miners should report how much digital currency they produce for tax service.
The move is part of the widespread hug of the Crypto region of Russia. Last week, the country-owned group Rostec, known for its role in the country’s military complex, revealed a plan to roll a ruble-pagged token called Rubbux.
