Samsung has finally revealed the official launch date for its upcoming slim-light phone, Galaxy S25 Edge. After several months of teasing and even showing the phone in many events, Samsung finally allowed people to hold the iPhone 17 air contestant in their hands and added the notion of thinness to our imagination. May 13, as leaked earlier, is the day when Samsung would formally announce the Galaxy S25 Edge globally.

While the design of the phone has already been shown several times-with least some official examples in addition to leaks, Samsung has also claimed that “pro-greed capabilities to catch the world around you easily.” With this, it is confirmed that the S25 Edge will come with a 200MP primary camera, with the same megapixel count, the Galaxy S25 will stand next to the ultra. Samsung is also claiming that the camera changes a “smart lens that helps to identify what matters to create new memories,” but it is not clear that it refers to the current visual intelligence solutions from Google – such as Gemini Live – or a proprietary solution. In addition to these bits, the specifications of the Galaxy S25 Edge have also leaked, with an overclocked Qualcomm Snapdragon Elite Chipset, a 3,900mAh battery, a 6.7 -inch AMOLED screen, and a possible use of ceramic and tytanium for construction. Other leaks confirmed that Samsung will offer the phone in three colors, a 50MP secondary ultravide camera with no telephoto, and an initial value of about $ 1,300 will be tagged.
With this pricing, the Galaxy S25 Edge may extend the ultra. But despite its thin profile, it may not be the thinnest Samsung phone to launch in 2025 – a title that is expected to be taken away by the Galaxy Z fold 7 in the coming months.
