When Samsung previewed the Galaxy S25 Edge to return in January for the first time, the time of waiting game has been seen that Samsung has set a date for a virtual unpacked event to show a new phone. “Beyond Slim” was labeled with an invitation for the live stream of May 12, it is very clear that the Galaxy S25 Edge will be the star of the show.
Although it may be felt that the Galaxy S25 age has already been discussed about death, in fact there is very little that we officially know about the phone. Samsung has confirmed some details here and there, but whatever we know related to the Galaxy S25 Edge has come to us through rumors and leaks.
In other words, there are still many ways that Samsung can surprise us when virtual unpacked events run on PT at 8 pm on 8 pm this Monday. Entering that event, here Samsung has already confirmed the Galaxy S25 Edge and we hope to answer very soon about some big questions.
Galaxy S25 Edge is going to be very thinner
Samsung’s “Beyond Slim” marketing slogan does not tell you, you can do your eyes. Thanks to the preview units on the January Galaxy Unpacked Event and MWC 2025 of March, we know for some time that a thin design is going to be a thin design Galaxy S25 age calling card.

As you can see, the Galaxy S25 Edge will be the thinnest Samsung flagship ever, which will shed about 1.5 mm from the thickness of the standard Galaxy S25. A 200MP main camera
Samsung’s preview of the Galaxy S25 Edge showed a device with two rear cameras. And now we know how many megapixels will come with that main camera, thank you for a comment when Samsung was created. Announcing launch event on 12 May,

So it is a 200MP main camera, which matches the Galaxy S25 Ultra Off. There is no word on other rear cameras of the edge, but it is safe to assume that it is an ultravide lens, although perhaps the 50MP sensor does not use ultra for that particular camera. Instead, Leikar believes that the Galaxy S25 Edge will have a 12MP ultravide lens facility.
Based on our Galaxy S25 Ultra Camera Test, such as 200-photo face-off with iPhone 16 Pro Max, which we held, that 200MP lens on the shore should capture some quite detailed shots, especially in low-light settings. But the pictures I am most interested in include a camera Not there. The Galaxy S25 Edge, especially, handles the close-up without a dedicated zoom lens.
One believes that zoom shots will rely on the main camera, the optical zoom will cropping on the shots at full resolution to approximate the quality. Other phones, such as dual-lens iPhone 16, do this great effect, so I am interested in seeing whether the Galaxy S25 follows the age suit.
Many AI on board
In confirming the 200MP camera on the Galaxy S25 Edge, Samsung also explained the AI capabilities. Apparently, the edge is going to inherit the Galaxy AI features found on other major Samsung phones, especially to shape items in images in liberal AI editing and remove distractions from photos.
But AI probability will not close with photo-editing. In the announcement of its incident, Samsung postponed the upcoming phone as a “powerful AI companion”, which suggests that you will also find other Galaxy AI equipment on this device. The additions with the Galaxy S25 lineup now include brief information, which is to provide a summary screen with personal suggestions for the forward day to use your data and behavior, and the app crosses the actions that tap in Gemini auxiliary to multiply with a single command.
These will be meaningful additions – for my money, Galaxy AI provides a beautiful polish experience with some really useful abilities. But I also wonder if the Samsung mixture will take the opportunity to launch the phone to add new AI tools. This was certainly done about a year ago when its Galaxy Z Fold 6 foldable introduced a sketch to a sketch for image photo editing feature. I want to see that the edge is introducing a new capacity of its own – a one that will roll for other Samsung devices through the software update, of course.
We still do not know about the Galaxy S25 Age
Samsung still has a lot of spaces to fill for its upcoming phone, such as what will be used (most likely that Snapdragon 8 Elite) and what colors we should expect (silver, blue and black, if you go from rumors). But they are not the most pressure issues for Samsung in the May 12 program.
I think the two biggest remaining questions around the Galaxy S25 Edge worry about its battery life and its price.
On the battery front, you will imagine that there is not much space inside the super-split phone for a large battery-there is nothing like 5,000 mAh power pack that the Galaxy S25 Ultra uses any Samsung phone’s best phone battery to distribute the battery life. Rumors indicate that the edge will be limited to 3,900 mAh cells, which is smaller than the battery inside the S25.
There is longevity compared to only a larger battery, of course, and the power management features of Snapdragon 8 Elite should be used here. We will ensure that the chipset can finalize the Galaxy S25 edge on a charge when we get a chance to test the phone. But it will definitely be interesting here how Samsung gives answers to questions about the edge battery.
Then it is a matter of how much will the cost of Galaxy S25 Edge. With a price of $ 799 to $ 1,299 with the rest of the S25 lineup, a difference between $ 999 Galaxy S25 Plus and Price S25 Ultra will seem correct that the edge may be slide in the edge.
