This is the problem with the last part edge: it has a 3,900-mAh battery capacity. It is the smallest of the Galaxy S25 series, compact Galaxy S25 to 100 mAh. Samsung has made some smart adaptations to maximize the battery life of this small cell, but only that it can do it. The battery life of the Galaxy S25 Edge is not enough for the $ 1,100 phone.
Last week, I am traveling along the edge to cover Google I/O, and I have to remember to charge it in the afternoon in most days. When I was away from a charger, I alertly decided to avoid using the phone so that the battery does not drain. By the end of the day before the day’s hit of 15 percent from the device, there is often a screen-on time of only 4 hours. Note, average use with light, this handset can last about a day. Then, if your requirements are light, you hardly need to spend $ 1,100 to get a great phone.
In my 10 years of reviewing the phone, I have often heard of my surrounding people when companies introduce thin phones with small batteries. I have also heard complaints that the phones are getting very big. The S25 Edge is still big – smaller claw tasks will still be difficult to reach the top of the screen – but the larger size does not bring the benefit of a large battery. It raises the question, for whom is it?

If you bother the same things, then the clear winner for you is a folded flip phone. Motorola Razr will match devices such as Razr Ultra and Galaxy Z Flip6, if you do not offer a little better battery life than the edge, but you can bend them and stove them even more well in pockets or purse. There is no need to renounce screen size. Or simply get good and compact Galaxy S25, which will be more time than the edge.

The Samsung Galaxy S25 is in position as a phone for power users, who want many capabilities of Galaxy S25 Ultra without massive screen and weight. But the edge has more compromise than only the worst battery life: it charges more slowly, there is no pen stylus, and no telephoto zoom camera. These are some allowances at cheap S25 and S25+, however, such as the ability to capture 4K videos on 120 frames per second.
The results of 200-MP primary camera and 12-MP ultravide cameras are sharp and colorful. You will not get much to complain. However, I kept trying to zoom on a lot of shots, and while 2x digital zoom has decent quality, things further deteriorate on zoom options. Finding $ 1,000+ smartphone today without 3x or 5x optical zoom camera is rare, and it is remembered here.
