Samsung said every year before provoking its latest phone, foldable or otherwise, the Korean tech veterans are going to try to launch the handset with their own exinos chips.
As we get close to the release of Samsung’s foldable Z fold 7 and Z Flip 7, the same rumors are roaming around. And now we have a backlash rumor HankyungA Korean publication (through) Gynelosreve), Reporting that the Galaxy Z Flip 7 will have the facility of Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Processor, with a cavet.
According to the article, the Qualcomm version of Flip 7 will only be available to the North American model. Somewhere else, the Chlameshell phone will have the facility of Exynos 2500 SoC.
Previous rumors have claimed that Z Flip 7 will include an Exynos 2500 chip or a custom Snapdragon 8 Elite Chipset, contradictory.
Exynos or bust
In recent years, Samsung has struggled with yield (how many chips can produce) to produce its own exynos processor. It is clear that the company wants to return to its own chips, especially when Qualcomm’s silicon becomes more expensive.
However, every cycle has the same rumors. There were speculation that the Galaxy S25 would run on Exynos 2500, and recently, there are rumors that the Galaxy S26 series could run on Exynos 2600 chips in some areas.
For large book-style Z fold 7, that phone is allegedly facilitating Snapdragon Elite 8 globally.
We will learn more to come in July, when we hope that Samsung will unpack its annual summer Galaxy, where two foldable phones will debut with wearable devices such as Samsung Galaxy Watch 8.
