Whehew, it is crazy for us in Engadget for a few weeks. The school may still be out, but there is no summer brake for a stable stream of new gadgets coming across our desk. If you miss a review or two in the last few weeks, I will forgive you – we are busy. Here is a quick randon what we are doing, just to catch you in the weekend in time.
Samsung Z Flip 7
Z Flip 7 has decent battery life, big screen and more AI smart. However, the cameras are dated and Samsung is not offering adequate utility on the second screen of this foldable.
- Big front screen
- Better battery life
- Slimmer design
- Cameras are dated
- Front screen utility is still limited
- Dull charge speed
With Z Fold 7 -Sath, Samsung started an updated version of its more compact foldable, Z Flip 7. Matt Smith, head of the UK Bureau, said the company managed to provide a sufficient overhaul, but there are some areas that were left untouched. He said, “Some aspects of Flip 7 are lacking, especially cameras, which have not been replaced since last year,” he said. “Samsung also needs to work more in its flex window.”
There are some concrete upgrades that will appeal to serious athletes and electrical users, but they do not justify the high price.
- Five hours of continuous music playback
- 3K video recording
- Meta AI is finally being useful
- Funny thick frame
- Heavy charging case
- (At least) $ 100 more than Meta’s Ray-Ban Glass
Meta’s first non-ray-ban smart glasses have arrived. While we wait for a more affordable version to reach here, senior editor Karisa Bell kept the option of white and gold through her pace. “While I do not love the style of the Okle Meta HSTN frame, Meta has shown that it is constantly able to improve its glasses,” she wrote. “Upgrade upgrade coming with new okla frames are not major jump, but they provide improvement in core features.”
DJI Osmo 360
DJI’s OSMO 360 is a worthy rival for the X5 of Insta360, thanks to the innovative sensor and 8K 50 FPS videos. However, the editing app still requires some work.
- Sharp 8k 10-bit log video
- Seamless 360 Sewing
- DJI works with mix and accessories
- Good design and handling
- DJI Studio app needs work
- Stabilization breaks down in low light
Reporter Steve Dent argued that DJI is finally giving some competition Insta360 in 360-degree action cam space. The design and performance of the OSMO 360 are great, but the problem comes when it is the time to edit. “The All-New DJI Studio app also needs some work,” he explained. “For the first attempt, however, the OSMO 360 is surprisingly solid rival to the X5 of the Insta360.”
Nothing phone 3
Nothing can be the first “true flagship” of the phone 3 company, but many glasses do not match that flagship monkey. Large screens, batteries and new glyph matrix make it a major step from the phone 2, but the camera performance is irregular and you will expect a more powerful processor at this price.
- Big, bright performance
- Unique hardware and software design
- Big silicon-carbon battery
- Camera performance is irregular
- Middleing processor
The first “True Flagship” call of nothing has come up, which is ready for the choice of Pixel 9 and Galaxy S25. Despite the company’s elevated nonsense, Matt argued that the phone 3 is interrupted by a low-power chip and disappointing cameras. “While I want nothing to continue experimenting with your phone, it should probably prioritize the performance of the first camera,” he said.
Samsung Galaxy Watch 8
The redisign Galaxy Watch 8 has a long battery life and a much more comfortable fit. Gemini integration is really helpful and new health matrix and fitness guidance are useful.
- Notablely comfortable fit
- Tiles interface is staggering
- New antioxidant levels and vascular load health matrix can help users keep an eye on their health
- Running coach can be inspiring for beginners
- Good Gemini integration
- Better batteries make Aod more viable
- Raised glass screen can be easily damaged
- AI-hanging coaches can be more individual
- It is easy to miss information
Samsung began a major update for its Galaxy Watch Line, when it unveiled Z fold 7 and Z Flip 7. Senior procurement advice reporter Amy Scoreheim spent two weeks, tested the new wearer, impressing them so much that they declared that it is “Samsung’s best smartwatch”.
