The era of super-screen phone is here. By defeating Apple, which is expected to announce the “iPhone 17 Air” of this decline, Samsung today used its virtual unpacked event to share complete details about its ultra-thin phone, Galaxy S25 Edge.
Announced at the end of the Galaxy S25 series launch in January, the S25 Edge is attracting everyone with its slim design. 5.8 mm thick (the camera is not counting the collision, because why no sensible company will be counted?), The S25 Edge is the thinnest Android phone that Samsung has ever made, just defeating its previous thinn phone, 5.9 mm Galaxy A8 released in 2018Just see it-it is almost thin like the USB-C port. Such a thin phone will not be cheap when available on May 30; Pre-orders begin on May 12. Ask for the Samsung base model for $ 1,099 for the base model with 256GB storage ($ 1,219 for 512GB), just the privilege of rocking a phone that is 163G.

If you are following the rumor mill, there is no technical glasses that are going to tell me that you will surprise you. Everything was right on leaked money. The S25 Edge has a 120Hz 6.7-inch AMOLED display, 200-megapixel main lenses and a dual-lens camera system with a 12-megapixel ultra-wide lens and 12-megapixel selfie camera. It is durable like any other premium phone, with an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance.

All this engine is Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Mobile Platform for Galaxy. Samsung is selling two configurations: 12GB RAM with 256GB storage and 12GB RAM with 512GB storage. Despite its thin profile, the S25 edge is packing a 3,900mAh battery. We have to wait to see how enough it is, but on paper, it is a small battery compared to the rest of the S25 family, with 4,000mAh (S25), 4,900mAh (S25+), and 5,000mAh (S25 Ultra). The latest Apple tea leaves suggest that the iPhone 17 Air battery will not run until the iPhone 17 and 17 professionals launched the decline. A silver lining is: S25 Edge Fast supports wireless charging and reverse wireless charging (useful for charging wireless earbuds). I felt that perhaps the Samsung could dilute the phone as much as it could lose both features, but both are intact. Your move, apple.
There is also a suit of the Galaxy AI -Samsung’s generative AI features – which is prepared during its UI version of Android. Confirmed AI features include “now brief”, which makes information and reminder based on your schedule and app use, and “now”, which displays live updates and other cutting size information on the lock screen of the S25 edge (it is like the dynamic island of the iPhone, but more useful and located below the screen). Other camera-focused generic AI features include “drawing assist”, which transforms the sketch into a detailed illustration, and “audio eraser”, which removes unwanted sounds like traffic noise in the video.
I have not yet placed the S25 edge in my hands, but I am sure it is thin enough to glide through the cake. Is this worth risking your new $ 1,100 phone? Certainly not, but someone needs to do it … for science and perhaps a tiktok video. There is also a legal concern about whether the S25 edge will easily bend. I am sure some YouTuber or influential person will try to sit on it in his back pocket. Until we get a review unit, what do you think about Samsung’s thinnest phone that we know everything about it? Are there tradeoffs (small batteries and less cameras) Deliveckers? I am glad that it has two rear cameras instead of a single lens rumor of iPhone 17 Air.
