Getting visibility – and, ultimately, insight – is ever growing more challenging in enterprise cloud assets.
Cloud estates are spacious and fragmented, and inventory capabilities in existing devices can be narrow and unexpected, separated with limited flexibility, disconnected platforms can separate elements such as costs and safety data.
Cloud -Governance Company Cloudkweiri Cloud is positioning itself to address this problem by centralizing assets, safety metadata and costing costs at one location, and making it accessible through easy, underlying SQL Querry and reports. The company is taking a developer-first approach to cloud governance, drawing data from 60-plus sources-including AWS, GCP, Azure, Okta and Wiz- A single, Query data warehouse.
The company is now announcing a $ 16 million funding round led by particle to pursue its approach to cloud visibility.
“The biggest challenge with current equipment is that they are silent – for a safety, for a cost, for a cost, for an asset inventory – for an asset inventory – for a safety,” CQ founder Yevgeny Pats told Venturebeat. “Even simple questions such as’ EBS volume is connected to an EC2 that is closed? It is difficult to respond to many devices without sewing simultaneously.”

Claudekweiri under the hood
Uses two major technologies under Claudcway Hood: Data Warehouse and Open-SOS database clicks and data analytics app to develop an Apache aer framework.
This high-demonstration plugin architecture built in GO connects to API, Azure, Google Cloud Plamfort (GCP) and many other platforms such as API, draws into configurations, safety and cost metadata. The platform sinks data from the centralized, centralized asset list from dozens of consecutive cloud providers and services.
“We lay a strong emphasis on data accuracy and freshness, working with teams the most reliable, updated information while syncing at high frequency,” said Pats.
He explained that the data has been strongly structured for Cloudkwear’s SQL engine and underlying reports, so teams may have complete flexibility without relying on the black-box tool.

The company has also used the “selected” large language model (LLM) for natural language query, SQL generations and recommendations, “but always at the top of the foundation of accurate, transparent data,” said by Pats. He reported that because AI understands SQL well, equipment such as clouds and openi can create customized reports and analysis in plain English.
It is important to take a developer-first approach, PATS said, because developers are eventually the creation, operation of today’s cloud infrastructure. Nevertheless, many cloud visibility tools were created for top-down governance, not for people in actually trenches.
“When you first insert developers, with the native language like accessible data, flexible API and SQL, you empower them to move fast, first catch issues and build more safely,” he said.
Customers are searching for ways to use Claudekwearry beyond asset inventory. “Start with many visibility, then quickly compliance monitoring, safety posture management, cost adaptation, all grow in cases of use from the same core platform,” said by Pats.
How Hexagon built a server -free data lake for all its cloud store
An enterprise is already seeing the result HexagonThe Software Company’s Cloud Center of Excellence (CCOE) team had a target of creating a completely server -free data lake that could collect data from all its cloud accounts and store it in single data lake.
They also wanted the ability to query this data using SQL, imagine it with familiar devices (eg AWS Quicksight), and find out the history of your cloud configuration over time.
The team constructed a server -free data pipeline using Claudcwei to collect data from all accounts and store it into S3. AWS glue then gum in a format to swallow data in DB that Amazon can query, which performs athena and visualize in the Qualite.
“The fully server -free solution was an important requirement,” has written by Peter Figureo, a hexagon cloud governance and finops expert Peter Figureo and Engineering Director Harman Shahaf. blog post“This decision brought a lot of benefits because there is no need for time -taking updates and virtually zero maintenance.”
They had to cross some challenges, especially with Amazon S3 support plugins. The CCOE Team S3 was the first time to try cloudkwear features at the S3 destination and offered leading insights to new features. This includes:
- Parquet support: Cloudquery file Destination initially supported CSV and JSON data formats. Errors in JSON interpretations led Claudekweari to add roof support.
- Data division: A cloudkwear file destination plugin now allows division on initial writing (pre -unavailable, resulting in additional unnecessary stages).
- Resource View for Ethana: Claudcway initially offered a resource scene for AWS compatible with only postgresses. However, Athena did not support it, so Claudcweari added a function that can recover a list of all tables to build or update the resource scene.
Figueredo’s team used Cloudquery to replace AWS’s VPC IP Address Manager (IPAM) – which they said expensive and limited that it does not cover other cloud providers.
Ultimately, his team runs cloudkwear in ‘data lake’ mode using “Ultra Cheap Infrastructure” including AWS S3, ECS, GLUE, Atena and Lambda, running cloudkwear in ‘data lake’ mode, Figureido told venturebeat. This reduces the cost and allows hexagon to merge all its IP addresses in separate clouds.
“We can quickly query any IP across the board and find who the owners are,” Figuardo said. “Now we need everyone at a very low cost near zero maintenance. This is a holy grave for our team.”
