Sitting with grad entrepreneur To talk about her new podcast, how she manages many businesses, and what it takes to become a successful entrepreneur.
Why did you start your podcast, and how is this other business different from podcast?
I left school when I was 16 years old. Therefore, I do not have a traditional trajectory. I am trying to unpack as much as I have got success, which are the mistakes. I wanted to give something that I thought would be useful for me when I started my business.
What kind of advice must have been useful?
To start, you have to love what you are doing. I say that because it is difficult to start something from scratches, and it will test every fiber of your stay. So you really have to do it. It should be more than just one goal, as I need to make money, or I just want to leave the place where I work. This should be something that gives you fuel.
What kind of mindset is there to succeed in entrepreneurship? Is there any specialty or skill that stands out?
I think you have to have self-confidence. There is a part of it that is actually about a mentality that will not take to an answer and can see through problems and adversity and around. It works every time.
How did you decide on entrepreneurship?
This is something that I fell. Like many of us, I did a corporate job for many years. I quit the job because I did not think that I was being given a good remuneration for what I did. So I fell into entrepreneurship. And that’s why I started my talk.
What will happen if you can start a side hustle today?
I want to be a florist. This is the only thing that I have ever wanted to do which I have never touched. I would like to do a job that is just about beauty, and is being completed artisticly. This will be my small dream. A flower shop somewhere in a beautiful place.
What is your leadership style?
(Good American), there are more than 150 people. I am the Chief Product Officer in another company (Schemes) where there are probably 400 people. Therefore, it is a lot of people, but I hire the best people and go out of their way. One of the things that I do well is the fare. I am especially good in keeping teams together.
What do you see in a new fare?
I often hire for attitude to experience. It is not on all positions, but I think especially when you are starting a company, there are people who have energy, who have passion, you cannot put a price on it.
what motivates you?
I feel honestly that I have created a life of my dreams. I am grateful every day that I do what I do. I think it inspires me, that I have made this life for myself, and it is my selection.
What is like working with her husband on the same C-suit leadership team? Do you have separation between family and work dynamics?
I have worked with Jane for a very long time, and before a couple we had a solid professional relationship. When I focus on the product, he handles the day-to-day marketing and day to day of the skims. So our roles are very defined, and we do different things. We have different skills, which makes us very compatible as business partners. We also do a lot of separation in our real roles. But if I am honest, we love what we do. So does the business spread at home time, and do we talk about what we do all the time? Absolutely. Yes. There is a part of that which is unavoidable.
Do you have a lot of help at home?
I have a three -year -old children, and then I have an 11 year old and an 8 year old. At home, I do not have four children who go to school myself in the morning. There is a lot of help around me, and I rely on that help to get through the day. I think it is very important to be honest about this because I do not want anyone to see me and think, Oh wow. He is some kind of superwomanIt likes it, No, I am not a superwoman. I am just a woman. I am holding elections every day and making a lot of sacrifice every day.
