The blank slate will have a curb weight of 3,600 pounds with a payload capacity of 1,430 pounds. The rated toling capacity is listed at 1,000 pounds-New 2025 Ford Mavement Hybrid AWD is less than a maximum toing capacity of 4,000 pounds, with a small cargo bed, but four doors for large cabs.
The blind, slate classic follows the honest, horizontal, square-edged profile of a two–seat American pickup truck-although Ford, GM and RAM have been presented in short compared to a full-sized US pickup from GM and RAM that collectively sell about 3 million units per year. It looks like a retro Ford Ranger since the 1980s, vs. Hyundai Santa’s more car -like styling, Ford Mavric and only other small pickups have been offered in the US.
Diply, the slate is shorter than the mavric: it is 175 inches long, 71 inches wide (not included mirrors), and 69 inches long. It compares the Mavric’s 200-inch length, a 73-inch width (again without a mirror), and 68– or 69-inch height. The slate provides a full 60 inch (5-foot) bed, 54 inches of vs. Mavery. (Both measures are with the tailgate raised.) While Maverick has no front trunk (instead of an engine), the trunk front of the slate provides a storage of 7 cubic feet above 37 cubic feet in the cargo bed (or 34 cubic feet in Load Bay of SUV).
customer satisfaction
Burman said that the slate would target retail buyers to set up the brand and get many individual trucks on the road as possible to promote public awareness. Slate’s EVS will also be sold to corporate customers who buy vehicles for fleet, Burman says, although he refused to offer a break of what percentage of sales slate estimates he would go to those two areas.
We did not even talk about this, but it is worth noting: slate trucks can also be sold to Amazon in imagination. The connection makes sense, as Slate Auto emerged from a startup lab, a partially funded by Jeff Bezos, the founder of Amazon. The online retailer already deploys thousands of rivian EV delivery vans, but can also serve its objectives for a small EV specific uses.
Echo of the past
As Mark Twain quipped once, perhaps apocriphili: history does not repeat itself, but it is often sung. Whoever has been following the auto business for almost 20 years, may have read the news of the slate and felt a faint Eco, a distant and long forgotten memory in tagging on the corners of his brain.
