Sony released its latest pair of premium gaming headphones, Injon H9 IIInzon H9 with a follow-up, better spatial sound, a viosable mike, and a re-designed headband for its previous high-end gaming headsets.
We reviewed the H9 in 2022, so it is definitely the time for Sony’s upgrade to the high-end gaming line. Sony engineers worked with e-sports organization Flickering To develop H9 II, resulting in a handful of life-life features that will appreciate gamers. It includes button placement, fit, and my personal favorite feature – Viosya Mike.

H9 II takes an accurate approach to audio, with 360 spatial sound that for very impressive immersion, communicates microorganisms like you and directional movement.
The 30 mm driver here is similar to Sony’s WH-1000xm6 headphone, so you are receiving a baseline audio-rich audio, some EQ preset with specially designed effects you will face in FPSS, such as footsteep, gunshot and directional sound effects.
In particular, however, they are smaller than 40 mm drivers in H9, supporting Sony’s target in allowing clear, more detailed sound here. We are talking about rustle leaves, gentle breezes, and of course, bullets with accurate localism.
The environment plays a big role that how well you can hear all these things, of course. You can’t really hear the player’s footsteps that stare at the background behind you with dogs barking in the background. Located at the top of the left ear, it gives you a hand access to a quick or to speak. If you are ever uncertain, there is a red LED at the tip that lights up when it is muted.
The power button is in front of the right – a difficult, but the ANC/Bluetooth button is easily mixed to reach the spot designed to avoid casual taps. Looking at the headset for the label may or may not be helpful, because the print above the button (on the headset with black colorway) is so small and so dark, I had to place my iPhone flashlight to see it.
This leads me to my other complaint about the headset: the black matte texture is a full fingerprint magnet. I have been using these headphones for a week, and they look as if I have taken them longer than that. Give, wiping them with a cloth solves this problem, but I would definitely choose a different color or finish.
The H9 II is also quite good as a pairs of headphones away from the console. Along with the viozic mike, they become regular headphones with sound quality, which you will expect up to the middle-upper-tier pair of the headphone. In fact, they are loud than my everyday pair JBLS and really feel great in the gym (yes, I was running with them, and they liked them very much).

The support of the headset for multi-point connectivity is a good plus that allows for connections with several devices at the same time. This means that when you are deep in the game, you can still hear the calls or texts coming through the headset, stopping the important missed calls because you were very busy in exploding in spaceships.
Taking a call with the headset is also surprisingly good user experience. The sound quality is good, and the callers said that my voice came loud and clearly.
So, let’s talk about battery life. Sony an average 30 -hour battery advertisement, which is actually less than 32 average on H9, but still good for gaming headsets. During my testing, I found that if you use ANC then you reduce it significantly.

It is said that the headset charges rapidly. Sony says that a five -minute charge time will use you for three hours, which is equal to about 30% of the battery in less than 10 minutes. Once you get about 20% of the juice, the headphone will inform you with “battery low” notification.

However, the light form of the headphone and the tendency to be a fingerprint magnet does not do much to exclude a “premium” aesthetics. Fortunately, white color ends this problem, but then, white tech is its own challenge in longevity. These are gaming headphones, finally, but for retail value of $ 349, these details matters.
In all, the audio wins, especially since you can separate the mike and there is a banger pair of headphones for everyday use.
