Don’t be worried – the game informer is now here and we are difficult to withdraw and run the magazine (when we are selling membership again, sign up for an account!). But in August, we were unexpectedly closed and at that time, we made significant progress on the next issue, an issue that would eventually never look at the light of the day.
I referred to the fact that when the publication stopped, we were about 70% with the next issue. And many people mistakenly believed that I was referring to our casting of the Frank Stone issue, which was not the case. The issue was completed and went out for customers.
Never got a chance to bring on the finish line, this metaphor: was going to provide reflexes on the cover. We were happy for the convenience of an atlas game on the cover. A few months ago we were talking about re -loading as a cover story with Atlas. Timing did not work enough for this, but the metaphor will eventually give us a chance to introduce the amazing character art of Shigenori Sozima on the cover.
Unused metaphor: Refantazio cover art
We were closed in the cover story and Brian Sheya traveled to Japan to watch the game and interview the team. When we learned that the game informer was closing, Bryan had already written a fully expander cover story. It was in the process of edited and kept. The issue never came, but Bryan was able to share some of that planned material through his own channels. Now, however, you can read the full story here on gameinformer.com (You can also read it on Bryan’s personal medium account here,
Bryan also created a pair of videos about the trip, with a game Sojima with sketching characters (seen below)And Another about Tokyo’s discovery with Sozima and game director Katsura Hashino,

The cover story was the main attraction, but we had some other features that were well on their way. Some of the few freelance pieces we were working on were capable of finding new houses. Former news editor for sports informer, Mike Fusster, was ready to make his comeback into publication with a large piece about the distressed state of the sports industry. That piece was later published Gamesindusty.biz, and you can read it here,
Freelancer Eliza Beam Gearbox’s Alien: Talking with developers for a large retrospective to colonial marines. That piece found with a house Infallible, You can read a fraction for this here and get a full piece in the #179 digits of publication.,
Former part-timer, which now full-time collaborative editor Charles Harte made significant progress on a piece about Gate 3 of Baldur. Charles spoke in length about the game situation with developer Larian Studios after a year. Thankfully, that piece eventually landed Ign, You can read the piece hereOr see a video version embedded below,

Along with the cover story, Bryan was also speaking with Sega for a feature on Sonic X Shadow Generation. Similar to cover story, You can find that piece here,
Other sections of the magazine were in progress. We probably had reviews for Star Wars: Outlaws and Kunitsu-Gammi: Godes’ route In that issue, and I talked about the eternal varieties issued until the time for preview with the big hands of the game with Mike Ladlav.
Circumstances can be unique, but this is not really the first time the game informer “Lost” is not a almost complete cover story. Back in 2006, a sport that was planned to reveal the White of the Rings: The White Council on the magazine cover. The full cover story was written and in the process of being kept out. As the story is, in fact, the team was getting ready to leave for the weekend when former editor-in-chief Andy McAnamara received a call on Friday afternoon that there was no indication of what would be the future of the game which meant the cover story was closed.

We can have games on the cover that were eventually canceled (eg) Fear and respect, Rainbow six: patriotAnd Tiberum) But we did not know that when we publish those issues, they were going to cancel the game.
