Spotify on Wednesday announced a handful of new features designed to give podcast a more prominent position in its app as it fights to become users’ favorite podcast streaming destination with Apple and YouTube.
The company says it will start recommending podcast on its home page and will provide the following feed to stay up-to-date with the latest episodes of her favorite show. Soon, Spotify podcast will also roll new equipment to recommend materials for creators and to be better attached to their fans in comments.
Changes, while relatively modest, are a part of Spotify’s growing efforts to compete with Podcast App and YouTube. The latter has been investing more heavy in podcast in recent years. Meanwhile, Spotify has also invested in video podcasts, allowing all the creators to upload videos and encourage them with payment to successful shows through their fellow programs.

Spotify says that the recommendations of the new podcast on the home tab have already begun to roll out for global users, and the initial feedback suggests that it inspires more users to like podcast, saving, and shows.
In addition, Spotify is introducing an following feed that will serve as a dedicated place, where you can see all the latest episodes released by the podcast, instead of searching in the app, instead of following you. (To access this feature, you will tap on the podcast button at the top of the app, then the following button that appears to its right.)

Podcast creators will soon get access to a new feature, which allows them to mention other materials in their podcast episodes, which can also be found on Spotify – including other podcasts, songs, audibooks, playlists, and more. It will be available in the next few weeks and the episode will be found on the page.
In a small twice, the manufacturer will be able to use emoji reactions to respond to the manufacturer fans participating in their podcast pages comments on the application.
The company notes that the creators are able to control even when comments appear or opt them to show them to the creators account for their spotify on their show or episode pages.
