Spotify is expanding access to its audibook for more American customers. The company on Tuesday announced to launch its $ 11.99 per month in the market, which allows customers or members of their home on a family or pair plan to listen to the audibook 15 hours during the month at the top of the Aadhaar scheme.
Although Spotify launched its audibook service in the US in 2022, domestic members have long been abandoned on pair and family plans.
This offer provides audibook to the members of the house for the first time in the US market.
Through the Spotify premium, subscribers already have a 15 -hour audiobook listening to a 15 -hour audibook and can buy additional hours as required. However, the audibook+ scheme gives customers the option of adding recurring access to 15 additional hours every month at the top of the current monthly allocation of the premium scheme.
Although this can be overcome for any way, the American rollout of the more severe audibook listeners, the audibook+ also means that other members on a membership plan besides the cardholder can now also reach the audioobook catalog of the SPOTIFY for the first time. It is made possible through add-on which is called “for Audiobuka+ Planning members”.
With the launch, the US includes Audiook+access to audiunt+with access to audiunt+including Ireland, Canada, UK, Australia, New Zealand, France, Belgium, Netherlands, Luxembourg, Germany, Austria, Switzerland and Liechtenstein.

The expansion of the plan for the US comes immediately after A Hard quarter For streaming giants, where it missed expectations and reported weak guidance. Spotify CEO Daniel EK pointed to a weak advertising business as it is because of this. (Ads Chief of Spotify left for Doordash, media outlets told before earnings.)
Despite the loss, a bright place for the company in the quarter was its user growth. The active user rose 11% to 696 million, and the subscriber paid increased by 12% to 276 million during the second quarter. The goal with the new audibook+ scheme is to withdraw more money from those current customers.
In December, publisher Harper Collins waged a solution to the problem with the inability of domestic members to the inability to reach the audibook. Harper Collins CEO Brian Murray said at the time said that the Spotiff was working to accommodate a “technical problem” with family plans, which limits audibook streaming only to the credit card holder of the family’s plan.
Last month, Spotify performed well on the promise when it expanded the audibook access to the plan members for the first time with the launch of Audiook+ in many non-American markets.
Spotify does not share how many premium customers stream audiobooks in addition to music or podcast, but note that the audibook hearing hours in the US, UK and Australia are more than 35% year-on-year. In particular, before these ad-on plans are available.
The news of the new membership follows the Spotify’s announcement on Monday that its membership prices are rising from € 10,99 to € 11,99 in markets in the Middle East, Africa, Europe, Latin America and Asia-Pacific region.
Spotify says that it will experiment with other options for book fans in the future, including direct sales.
