Street Fighter 6 was launched for Switch 2 last week and if you want to throw your support behind this special version of the game, but I do not believe that it will be supported at the same level as other platforms, we have received some good news.
As Highlighted by EventhubsThe Nintendo version has been declared as the tournament legal, which means the switch 2 version is now officially acceptable for online and offline tournaments. Capcom’s Pro Tour websiteThe update originally came into force only a few days after the game was released on Nintendo’s hybrid platform on 9 June.
However, it may seem that this was always going to be a case, during the previous generations, some third-party fighting games have isolated the nintendo-resulting in a major update and DLC at the later date. In the form of source notes, the switch 2 version supports cross-play functionality (including Capcom’s ID account system), which is a point of difference in this case, so it is hardly “there is no surprise”.
Nevertheless, it is a good contrast for some other fighting games on nintendo platforms. For example, the guilty gear strong (which landed on the switch earlier this year) is still not receiving the latest seasonal DLC fighters. So, it is very good news to behave equally to the switch 2 version of Street Fighter 6.
