T-Mobile will give you a free iPhone 17, iPad, and Apple Watch right now — how the deal works

    Kerry Wan/ZDNET

Black Friday is just two days away, and T-Mobile is joining in on the festivities by launching what the company calls the “Ultimate Apple Bundle.”

Starting today, new and existing T-Mobile customers will have the opportunity to receive a iPhone 17 ProOne A16 iPadand one apple watch se 3Completely free. When purchased separately, those devices would cost about $2,000. You can choose to get all three devices, but if you don’t want all that tech, customers can choose to offer two or just one instead – depending on which deal you choose.

If you’re a Verizon customer (or interested in becoming one), that carrier is offering uniform bundle deal No trade-in required iPhone 17 Pro MaxApple Watch Series 11, and iPad A16.

As is always the case with “free” device deals from carriers, this is not the case. In fact Free outright, although over time, it’s still a great deal. To take advantage of this bundle deal, you will need a device to trade, and sign up for an eligible phone, tablet and/or watch line. You’ll essentially get paid back for the device over a period of two to three years through monthly bill credits, and you’ll still have to pay taxes. Here are all the details.

to get iPhone 17 Pro In either Cosmic Orange or Deep Blue, you will have to trade in an eligible device (in any case) when choosing. Experience beyond phone plan ($100 per month for one line). This deal also extends to existing customers on T-Mobile Go5G Next plans. You can get phone payment through 24-monthly bill credit (tax included). There is also a $35 device connection fee.

You can get the A16 iPad through 36 monthly bill credits (tax included) “when adding tablet line on eligible plan”. This is also the case for the Apple Watch SE 3. You can get the wearable item “when adding watch line” via 36 monthly bill credits (tax included).

The best thing about the Ultimate Bundle is that you have the optional option of getting a discount on another product. You can do this instead:

    • Get up to $1,100 off any iPhone 17 model or iPhone Air
    • Get up to $500 off any eligible iPad model
    • Or get up to $300 off any eligible Apple Watch model.

With deals like this, it’s no wonder it’s called the Ultimate Apple Bundle, but things don’t stop there.

These are deals on top of other deals, all coming together to become one of the best Black Friday promotions in 2025.

    How I evaluated this deal

According to ZDNET’s rating system, I give this deal a perfect score of 5 out of 5. The free iPhone alone is worthy of a full score, but here you get three of Apple’s latest devices for free. I don’t think any other Black Friday comes close to the value that this one offers.

iPhone 17 Pro is one of the company’s flagship smartphones. It has the powerful A19 Pro chipset, supports Wi-Fi 7, ensures lightning-fast connection speeds, and features arguably the best camera system on an iPhone to date. If you’re looking for an opportunity to upgrade, I highly recommend the iPhone 17 Pro.
