Microsoft is testing several new Artificial Intelligence (AI) features for the first-sided apps in Windows 11. On Thursday, the Redmond-based tech veteran announced that he was releasing a new update for Windows internal sources in cannies and Dev channels. The update is only for people with a copilot+ PC. Updates include MS paint, snipping tools and new features for notepad. The paint is getting the option to select a new sticker generator tool and individual elements in an image, while the company is making it easier to capture the screenshot using a snipping tool.
New AI features are coming in Windows apps
One in blog postThe Windows manufacturer announced several new AI features, which are currently being tested by the company with Windows interiors. There is no word on this that they will generally be available, but given the previous trends, they can be widely rolled out at the end of this year.
Two new AI features are being added to MS paint. The first is a new sticker generator button that is included in the existing AI features in the paint, such as generic phil, generative erease and cochurers tools. The new feature allows users to make custom stickers using lessons. The sticker generator button can be found in the Copilot menu. Once tapped, a text field opens, where users can describe their desired stickers.
Once done, Copilot will produce four variations of stickers. Users can click any one of them to add it to the canvas. They can also copy it to use it in another app, as well as save it later. Users can see the sticker again by clicking on the new sticker option in the toolbar.

Microsoft is also adding a new object select tool. It uses AI to separate from wisely and select individual elements in an image that users can then edit separately. The tool can be found in the toolbar, and the users can move the cursor to an object or element in the canvas to choose it. Additionally, the company is also adding a new dialog box that provides a quick observation of new and existing features in the paint.
Snipping tool is also getting some new features. The first is the perfect screenshot, an AI-powered device that helps users to capture the accurate screenshot, without the need to shape or harvest the post-capture without size. After opening the snipping toolbar by pressing the print screen keyboard shortcut, users can select the correct screenshot button when they are in rectangle mode. As a user starts selecting an area of the screen, the equipment will use AI to use AI to capture the material from the entire selection area to shape the screenshot correctly. The user will be able to move or edit the area before confirming the screenshot.
The second feature is called color picker, and it is a device for users to quickly inspect and detect the color code of any part of the screen. The tool can be selected from the toolbar, and users must set the color code output between HEX, RGB or HSL values. Once done once, they can take the cursor to the desired area, and the equipment will show the color code of the area. Users can also zoom the area to check the color of a small area.
Finally, Microsoft is also adding a new AI feature to the notepad. Dubbed right, this feature allows users to generate new text materials in the app using AI. Users can either use the facility on a blank note or expand pre-written draft. After placing a cursor in the desired location, users can either right-click and write it or choose it from the Copilot menu.

A text field will appear, and the users can explain that they want to generate AI. After clicking on sending, Copilot will generate a reaction to the canvas. Users can then decide whether they want to add text to the document or refine it by entering additional signals. If they want, they can leave the lesson.
To use the right in the notepad, users must be signed in their microsoft account. In particular, this feature uses the same credit as other AI features in Windows 11. There are 15 credits every month on free tier, and Microsoft 365 individual and family customers receive 60 credits every month. On the other hand, Copilot Pro subscribers, receive unlimited credit.
