While the air fryers are not dirty in the same way that a blender or crocke pots, it deal with Greece, powerful heat and moisture. Mix those things with hidden corner and you have found a situation where food and oily residues can build very quickly. Clean it regularly, keeping the device safe and the food coming out of it feels great. Here is how I take care of my air frayers. (Yes, I have more than one. My favorite air fryer for 2025.)

Original cleaning
There is basic maintenance and then severe cleaning, but we will jump into it in a second. Basic cleaning is a routine of low-appropriate cleaning that you should be comfortable-this will make deep cleaning sessions easier and less frequent.
Clean the removable parts
Whether you have a basket-style or an air fryer of oven-style, consider those parts of the machine that have come in direct contact with food. It can be the great and basket in an oven air fryer, or great and tray. As long as they are removable, take them out when they are calm and wash them with hot water of sponge and soap.
If your Greats are waving or waving in some way, it is common for food bits to be caught or leak in pits for oil. A sponge may not trick here, so break the bristle brush. Give the brush soap and give some additional strange parts of some extra scrubbing before rinsing with warm water.
This will be sufficient for most of the removable parts in an air fryer, but in some cases they are dishwasher-safe. First check with the manufacturer’s website, but if you have a dishwasher then your life just became easier. Later let those parts dry or you can dry them. Do this after each use, until you are using a disposable liner, which will catch a lot of food residues and maybe you will take something.
Wipe the interior
You will probably see that the interior walls of your air fryer are picking up some colors. It comes with many uses; Heat, oil and moisture can leave some spatting over time. While you don’t have to do it after this Every one Use, you should now wipe the interior walls and then keep the oils from the building.
Make sure the tool is unplugged. Take out the rack or air frying basket (ideally, in the dishwasher or in the sink), so that you can give some room to your arms. Using the soft side of a moist soap sponge, wipe the walls and gently clean the heating element. Do not scratch or scratch the heating element, not anything on it. There are ways to deal with it …
Hard stains and crud
Even with continuous maintenance, you have to fight again with some crude and again. Here are the simplest and cheapest tools that you should keep in your arsenal.
A baking soda scrub. It is one of my favorite methods – baking soda loosens Greece and it is a little abrasive, which is good for scrubbing and lifting food particles.
What do you think so far?

To make a paste, mix a tablespoon of baking soda with a spoon or two water. Use your fingers to apply toothbrush, pastry brush, or even apply your fingers to stains. Allow it to sit for 15 to 20 minutes and use a sponge brush or scrabby side to loose the gram. Wipe the paste with a moist sponge or paper towel, and let it dry.
Soak an vinegar. Depending on which part you are soaking, make a solution with a cup of water and two tablespoons vinegar. (You can double or trip it for large soak.) I will put a solution in a baking sheet pan and then immerse the flat ghats to soak the air firing of the oven-style. For basket-style air fryers, I leave the great inside the basket and add vinegar to it. Soak for 20 minutes or an hour and scrub the Greats down. Clean the parts and let them dry in the air.
Paper towel soak for the heating element. If you have found a strange part of food sticking directly to the heating element, you have two options: When you use the air fryer again, let it slowly burn (it will summarize it in a summarize, and can be potentially dangerous) or apply a paper towel to remove the gun) or to remove the gun.
For paper towel, make sure the machine is unplugged. If the heating element is at the top of the unit or on the edge, turn on the machine so that it is downwards – you will need gravity to help here. Soak and take out a piece of paper towel. If you want, you can add a drop of dish soap, but very little. Pick it on the crude that is stuck to the heating element (that’s why we changed the machine). The paper towel should be wet but does not drip. Soak it for 20 minutes. Wipe the spot using paper towel. If not completely, crude should come at least a bit. Repeat it again if needed.
If you see the built-up grease in the corners of the great inserts, I suggest to use a two-dimensional approach to soaking and then a baking soda paste scrub. After the cleaning parts dry up, your air fryer must be clean and ready for another food.
