The iOS 26 is the new “adaptive power” mode of Apple, one of our favorite new features, combined with developer beta, aims to expand the battery life of the best iPhones. Unfortunately, it seems that you will need an iPhone 15 Pro model or new to enjoy the benefit.
In the iOS 26 Developer Beta, Apple describes a kind of adaptive strength mode for its iPhone “to extend your battery life” to a kind of adaptive strength mode, such as by reducing the shine of the screen and “allows to take some activities a while.” When the setting is enabled, your phone will automatically trim your energy use to maintain it for a long time between the charge.
The adaptive power mode differs from the current low power mode of the iPhone, which restricts background activities and automatically kicks when your battery reaches 20 percent.

The adaptive power is capable by default in iOS 26 developer beta, but you can also find it with low power mode in the battery> power mode of the setting menu.
Mark Gurman of Bloomberg First said that Apple was working on the AI-run battery optimization feature last month. At that time, Gurman said that this feature would “use battery data that it has been collected from users’ equipment” to find out which apps to trim power consumption.
