We are very close to Apple’s next iPhone generation launch. The iPhone 17 series is expected to be officially declared next month, and consistent rumors suggest that there will be an iPhone 17 wind with general suspects.
A new rumor from reliable leakar Mizan boo The iPhone 17 reveals the battery capacity of the air, which is reportedly 2,900mAh, which is slightly larger than the expectation. The leak also states that the battery is placed in a steel case.
Previously, we had heard that the additional-slim phone of Apple would have a 2,800mAh battery. Certainly, this is only a difference of 100mAh, but when you are talking about a battery that is small (iPhone 16 uses 3,561mAh battery, for perspective) any extra juice is a good thing.
As a battery is scary that is small, reports indicate that it will still provide a full day of battery life to improve battery life technology and some performance in iOS 26 to tweex. Obviously, we will need to test for ourselves to see if the battery under 3,000mAH can actually meet the demands of the iPhone users, but I hope.
The battery is expected to be smaller, as previous reports indicated that the phone will be just 5.5 mm thick. The iPhone 16 is 7.8 mm, so the current phone and the rumor are deeply noticeable difference between the wind. If Apple manages to achieve the thickness of that rumor, it will just beat the Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge, which measures 5.8 mm.
Apple may not be the first to release a thin phone, but may be the thinnest, which seems to be the way of operating Apple.
The iPhone 17 Air is rumored to replace the iPhone 16 Plus in Apple’s lineup, which means that the company will still release four devices – iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Air, iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max.
The current prevalent rumor has stated that Apple will organize the incident of its iPhone 17 between 8 and 10 September, so we will not need to wait too long to learn about the thin iPhone on the horizon.
