AI has changed the face of computing hardware so much as it has started gaining popularity. Its clearly current driving force is with its strangulation about every conversation around the tech. Now, more and more, the manufacturers are looking to find ways to adapt better for AI, it is something like NVidia’s DLSS 4 customized chain graphics card or Micron’s new lineup SSD The data center is designed to do the best work with AI.
The new lineup from Micron is the first to use the brand’s newest G9 Nanda node to customize these drives for the use of AI data center. This includes 9650 SSDs, 6600 ion SSDs, and 7600 SSDs, designed to deal with various problems, may come against AI computing.
None of these is especially interesting for regular PC gamers for us, but the step in technology is good, especially when you believe that all these are improving the use of power marked power on older models.
The 9650 SSD is a PCIE 6th gene drive that claims 28 GB/s sequential reads and 14 GB/s right speed. I like to sit here and imagine transferring data at those speeds and it makes me a little bit. These are called the fastest of their kind, and should help in speeding up large enterprise functions such as AI training and reaching the larger language model. It is also said that it is much more energy efficient than its predecessor, so hopefully we can cut some environmental costs of AI.
The next micron in the list is 6600 ion SSD, which is a large scale scalable storage solution. These can come up to 245TBS in the same drive, and the 122TB version is only about the size of a deck of cards. These are AI Infrastructure SSDs, designed for transferring and storing through large data sets and building huge data lakes.
Finally, 7600 SSD is another PCIE based drive, but this time there is only one Gen5. These strength and more performance, low delay, and predictable reliability are attacking a mixture. Again we are still focusing a strong focus on the performance of per power on previous offerings, while still leads the speed through modern AI workload.
Again, these data center style solutions are never likely to happen at any time that suit your gaming needs, but it is an interesting direction for the witness. AI operated technology is literally fought by countries with restrictions being imposed against China from America
Meanwhile, the latest gaming PCs are starting to use AI Tech more and more to give better frimits, or to tell us that we are not playing games when we are. This will not be too long before gamers are sold to our own AI customized SSD, although they are expected to be slightly more cheaper than these data centers forefathers.
