Logitech’s latest premium office headset Zone Wireless 2 ESaims to improve focus in the workplace with Adaptive Hybrid ANC, a comfortable fit, and Logitech’s “work-out-of-the-box” ethos.
This year’s Zone model improves on previous iterations with longer battery life, advanced noise cancellation, and a more comfortable fit. This is a well-designed headset, with an emphasis on practical features and comfort.

In fact, this is one of the most comfortable productivity-minded headsets you could ask for, with plush, ultra-soft earcups that feel lightweight while providing full coverage of your ears to maximize the effectiveness of ANC.

The adjustable fabric strap that wraps the solid headband is soft and lightweight, eliminating hair pulling or awkward pinching when you turn your head or adjust it. The earcups are symmetrical, allowing you to wear them either way, with the microphone on the right or left side.
The fact that Logitech built this headset for the noisy office is most evident in its active noise cancellation. This is quite good for an office headset, helped by the plush earcups I mentioned earlier, which feel like pillows to your ears and effectively suppress ambient sound.
It doesn’t have the omnipresent ANC of a premium pair of headphones, but it does a surprisingly good job at reducing ambient noise around you, especially low- to medium-level noise, voice chatter, and foot traffic.
The ANC is adaptive, meaning the headset automatically adjusts the level of noise cancellation depending on the noise level; However, you’ll probably still want to be able to control it with physical controls.
Fortunately, this couldn’t be easier to do. Toggling ANC or swapping to transparency mode is done by tapping the sole button on the ear opposite the mic (tap only once – holding it down doesn’t activate it). Transparency mode is also particularly effective, allowing your voice to remain open and natural, which is what I want in a headset, as I don’t like my voice muffled during calls.
Audio in the headset remained clear and responsive in my testing, thanks to the 40mm speaker drivers. The music is also surprisingly good, with strong bass and distinct mids. Combined with ANC, they even nailed the subway here in New York, although unlike gaming headsets, you can’t detach the mic.
Plus: My new favorite PC accessory has infinite battery life and tons of productivity features
One small thing: when you’re listening to music and turn the mic 90-degrees, it doesn’t interrupt the music by announcing “muted.” Thanks for this, Logitech.
In terms of the headset’s battery (for the wireless model), Logitech advertises 20 hours of talk time with ANC on or 25 hours of listening time with five minutes of charging power for an hour. In my testing, I found it to be generally accurate, as I only charged it once during the two-week testing period. Upon power-on, the headset also displays a specific percentage of charge rather than a vague indicator, which is another little touch I appreciate.
The wireless headset supports multipoint Bluetooth connectivity, allowing you to connect to your smartphone and laptop simultaneously, mirroring how people actually use headsets while in the office or working from home.
In terms of compatibility, the headset works with Windows, macOS, ChromeOS, iOS, iPadOS, and Android devices via Bluetooth.
The headset comes in black, white and pink colors. I have the white version, and although the matte finish resists fingerprints, I wonder how it will hold up after a year or two. If you have similar concerns, I would suggest opting for the black version, which may hide smudges or smudges, but may make fingerprints more visible.

Finally, with comfort being a priority in the physical design of the headset, I can’t help but feel that it feels a little heavy when worn. It’s certainly not a big headset – especially when compared to something like the Sony WH-1000XM6 or a gaming headset – but it’s certainly bigger than my other favorite office headset, the Epos Impact 500, which is positively massive in comparison.
ZDNET’s shopping advice
logitech zone wireless 2 es One of the most comfortable office headsets you could ask for. Additionally, the audio quality is excellent, and the ANC is good enough for an office environment.
If you spend long days on calls, your ears will appreciate the plush, cushioned earcups. I find the design a bit chunky, but the comfort is worth the compromise.
But $159They’re not cheap, but they’re far from the most expensive on the market, and it’s a reasonable price for a product from a reliable brand that will last a long time.
