It really learns only to combine a smoothie only once that you should check that the lid is on your blender. I had already taken a bath after a lot of banana pieces in my hair, and after finding the splashes of fruits after drying in my memory, provide long -term reminders to provide my vitamics esant X5 properly protected before starting. But beyond this big lesson, many are small. Here the most important manual-eish settings and equipment I have mastered after eight months using the Vitamics Essent X5.
Presets are only the beginning
I agree, I fell in love with the preset on this machine before leaving for the manual field. Frankly, if you are a set-it-furgate-steep type, then there is enough reason to buy this top-off-the-line blender, and you can be fully happy with navigating hot soup, nut butter, smoothie, frozen desserts and dubbing settings. (Reading My full review To look at tests running on predetermined tasks.) However, I am naturally experimental type, and sometimes I go at a time where a predetermined determined does not meet my needs. So I have given a branch outside and took matters in my hands.
Manual speed dial

One thing I have learned from looking at the preset run is what happens with time and speed of blade. Essentially, these two things make any given preset, whether it is a smooth function or a hot soup function. They start slowly and after some or several seconds, the ramp up to the speed 10 (highest speed) level and stay there for some time. Sometimes, the speed decreases again and the ramp again before stopping.
After some attempts to combine their own Salas, Marinades and Sauce, I began to realize that there is a reason for slow start and quick growth in speed. Starting at a high speed may mean that the ingredients up to the lid should be inflated and perhaps never maneuver again until you stop the side to scratch the side. It is annoying, and it can take more time to the process as overall.
Instead, I became comfortable with manual speed dial by placing it down on level 1 setting (lowest speed), which slowly cuts the content, either loosen the mixture, or breaks large ingredients into more management fragmentation. After about five to 10 seconds, I will increase everyone to level 10, keeping an eye on my mixture and texture. Maybe I will be at level 8 for a time and reduce the speed to level 2 to check on stability. I use the same technique as the preset, but adapted to the special requirements of the recipe.
+: 15 second button

This function is related to the preset, but it is important in my weekly operations, so I think it is applicable here. +: 15 seconds performance is only one of a few buttons and yet I ignored it for some time. This is a simple idea and creates a big difference, however: you press this button when you feel that your mixture requires another 15 second processing – or press twice for another 30 seconds, or press the “stop” somewhere in the middle. I make a fruit smoothie a few times a week, and it is particularly useful when a mixture of my fruits does not get for a strong start. For example, if I added spinach or apple large hunks and they get stuck on top of the canister for half of the mixture. I will simply tap all-Powerful +: 15 button until I am not satisfied that those items are fully included.
Molestation

On the topic of the material stuck on the top, I will come clearly: I’ve been tampering resistant. Tampering is a plastic baseball bat-shouting thing that comes with vitamics blenders, and means helping to run the material safely in the blade. It is not difficult to use, you simply rote it into the container through the opening in the lid. However, as a lazy person, who is far from dirty additional kitchen appliances, I started my vitamics trip and expected to do my combination duty for blender. I was then irritated when the predetermined determined and the pieces of the fruit were stuck on the top. Meanwhile, the display symbolizes a little tampering that tells me, “Hey, hello, now use it.”
I am finally around: I start mixing the most with my tampering in my hand when ready is now ready. If I do not use it then only I am blamed. It is also not difficult to clean it; It is smooth plastic (but I am working on progress).
What do you think so far?
Pulse button

As the only other button on this control panel, I have finally started hugging the pulse button. This is fun because when I use a food processor, the cousin of the blender, I like the pulse button. I rely on the pulsation more than the on button. I started using the pulse button on vitamics when I wanted to keep an eye on the texture closely.
The pulse button is mixed only when you catch it. It removes your finger as soon as it allows you to break down and stop. It takes out the commitment to start a preset or even start a mixture and the texture goes away from you before knowing this. I’m using a pulse button Blower cakeWho does great work, but you want to be careful not to overwork the batsman. The pulse button is ideal for a mixture of one or two-second, just to include its content.
I learned things hard
Do not tilt the container while running the machine. Why would anyone do this? Certainly not to avoid using tampering and try to shake stuck material in the blade instead. This makes a terrible piece sound, and you will remove your cats out of their slope. In addition, it is not effective. The container slowly sits on top of the gear powered by incredibly strong engine; It is not closed with a clip or anything. If you tilt the container, you are just grinding a very expensive metal cog, not so affecting what is inside the vessel. Remember, tampering is our friend.
Check that the lid is on. Vitamics does not detect that the lid is like many food processors. If you press the start then the lid does not occur on the container, it will be the same as it is. Of course, you want to protect your hands and any other objects and body parts, while the machine is running, but if you drive the machine without a lid you will definitely finish wearing your food almost. Just a quick look you need to mix safe and messy-free.
