The new strange flat pinsafe design in MSI Computex shows motherboard, possibly saves life.

MSI’s first AMD chipset is ready to be the first time in a new design for mpower motherboard, B850MPower, MSI boards. Instead of a normal prickly mixing points on the back of a board, MSI has designed a new flat. It has been described as ‘Pinsfe Design’ and is said to “help avoid injury due to sharp pin during the assembly process.” In other words, MSI has got rid of a group of slightly prick.

Tom’s hardware The new casted boards being shown in this year’s Computex are shown with other unusual pleasure at the MSI booth, describing new boards, which look like improving stitch techniques, which form a smooth surface instead of the prickly texture we use. This seems like a strange improvement, given that I have never heard of anyone a complaint about a spici board, but still there is no improvement.

While MSI claims that it will help PC builders to avoid injury, I am a bit curious about whom they are talking about. I don’t know if I have been extraordinary lucky with my time around PCB, but I don’t think I have ever come close to cutting myself on one of these things. I remember thanks to all those soldered small grabbing people, but never under my skin.

Nevertheless, low risk is always good and it probably saves MSI on the stitched budget there. Assuming that these have not been filed only later and it is actually a technique improvement, these pins possibly use less mixing than the old spici. This may look like a small amount, but it adds all when you are building millions of boards.

MSI also claims that these new Pinsafe design boards have more system stability and ESD protection. Especially the manufacturer does not give any number or percentage to return it, and I am speculating that they are very close to the cactus. Tom’s notes stated that the new design will probably help to stuck foreign objects, and my motherboard will help the jumper to think back, they are probably correct. I would say that you will see more benefits in terms of a clean case than anything.

MPover boards are usually targeted for those who prefer tinkers, and I will bet to get rid of spikes and reach in this case and make things easier than once. Even if only a little. The B850MPower looks as the first to rock this design, so we must soon come to the market for many other Pinsafe boards.

On the one hand, I am eager to see what all disturbances are with these smooth-supported boards. On the other hand, I think I am going to remember the prickly structure that just feels that I am handling the PC components. If you have ever cut yourself on PCB, I think it is your lucky day, which is for a new, safe PC building existence.
