    Key takeaways of zdnet

    • Dolby has announced Dolby Vision 2, a “Groundbreaking” HDR format.
    • DV2 will bring many quality upgrades and fix a large complaint.
    • Hisense TVS will be one of the first people to support new technology.

The next generation of HDR is here.

Dolby unveiled the successor of Dolby Vision 2, Dolby Vision HDR, which began a little more than a decade, the company Said on TuesdayCalling it “the groundbreaking development of its industry-agronic painting quality innovation”, Dolby reported that its latest technology would bring many upgrades on the current Dolby Vision and fix one of the most common complaints.

What’s new with Dolby Vision 2?

Dolby said it has a “strong” material pipeline that includes movies and TV shows, weekly live sports broadcasts and games that take advantage of Dolby Vision 2.

At the core of the new technology, the company is saying “Content Intelligence”. This introduces new devices, Dolby said, “Optimia you optimize what and where you are looking at (using AI).

The company admitted that one of the most common complaints about Dolby Vision is that images can often be very dark, making it difficult to see details. Content Intelligence will include “Prosics Black” that improves clarity in deep scenes. In addition, a “light sense” feature will cure the picture quality by customizing its photo to detect and adjust the ambient light, Dolby explained.

    New too:

    • Authentic speed, “the world’s first creative-powered motion control tool” visuals to feel more cinematic (the creator will be able to use it on “a shot-shot-shot basis”)

    • A re -designed and even more powerful image engine

    • Dialogue

    • Sports and Gaming Adaptation Mode that you fix things like white point adjustment and speed control

In short, all these features are designed to ensure that what you see at home is what is creative behind the material to see for you.

Which TV will first get Dolby Vision 2?

Like most new techniques, it takes some time to reach comprehensive availability. Hisense (which has produced some of the best sets in the last few years) will be the first TV to support Dolby Vision 2 with its RGB-Miniled Line. It is almost certain that we will join the lineup in more TV January CES.

Dolby explained that its new technology will be available in two levels: Top-of-the-Line Dolby Vision 2 Max on Premium TV that not only provides the best possible picture, but also adds additional premium features, and Dolby Vision 2, which provides dramatic painting quality for mainstream TVs.
