Since AI is rapidly helping hackers to launch large -scale email attacks, Google security leaders have joined forces to build autonomous AI agents, aims to make a threat to make fishing, malware and commercial email compromises, before they reach user inboxes anytime.
That mission is behind EgisaiA new email safety startup that has emerged secretly with $ 13 million in co-excelled seed funding by Excel and Foundation Capital.
More than 90% successful cyber attacks begin With a phishing email, according to the US federal cyber security agency CISA. A recent crowdstruk Study ,
Aegisai aims to combat this growing threat with his suit by autonomous AI agents.
Established by former Google safe browsing and recaptcha officials, Cy Khormaee and Ryan Luo, startups an orchestrated network of startups real-time AI agents that have to inspect, analyze, analyze, analyze, analyze, analyze, analyze, analyze, analyzes, without relying on any specific set of rules. This approach challenges specific email safety platforms that rely on static rules and often require extensive user training.
“The sum of all evil is a PDF attachment in an email. It always started where all the attacks started, and so I really wanted to solve this problem,” Khoramai said in a special interview with Techchchan.

Khormaee was the head of the director of product and product management at Google for five years till July 2023. During that time, he led the security team responsible for the safety of Google, its four billion users and the safety of four million websites from fishing, malware and fraud, such as Safe Browsing, Ricapa and Web Risk. It was also during this time that he first met Luo, who had spent almost a decade in Google and was part of a safe browsing team.
Google explained Techcrunch, he explained Techcrunch, he told Techcrunch to develop and score how to develop and score security businesses from the company’s point of view.
Prior to Google, Khoramai established the Sales Intelligence Platform Sustainable, which was acquired by Sugarcrm in 2016. He later served as the VP of Product Management for more than one and a half years until November 2024 before starting Aegisai.
AEGISAI has created logic agents, each of which is a custom-made LLM that is ready for a specific danger. Once the orchestrating agent recognizes a danger or potential danger, it calls other agents in the network, which Khoramai has referred to as “friends”. These agents then analyze, cause each other, and respond to the orchestrating agent with a decision.
Agents analyze the real -time analysis of each message component, including links, attachments, metadata, QR code and behavioral patterns.

“What do we know from the manufacture of these devices on Google, what are all things about an email that you need to analyze? What are all data sources? What are all techniques for invasion, and what are all bad goods opposed to that we have seen in 10 years of playing chess with these opponents?” Khoramai said.
While Aegisai has currently manufactured more than 10 agents for this work, Khoramai told Techcrunch that over time there can be 50 to 100 agents because the opponents become smarter and try to fool the system.
“I fully believe that in two years, the opponents will understand what we are doing. They will retio and attack us what we are doing, and then we will need to build more agents to stay ahead of them,” he said.
Unlike a specific email safety platform, which uses a rule-based approach, these AI agents in real time make a group of attacks for every possible version of those attacks and self-tune themselves, said Khoramai. Startups have developed several AI models, which consistent with various dangers and specific industries, including enterprise capital and financial services.
With quick detection of hazards, agents of aesisai help reduce false positivity by 90% compared to traditional solutions, claiming startups.
Customers via API, through API, via API on the Google work area or Microsoft 365 email account, “take no more than five minutes”. Once set, the startup will send a report in a few days, which contains false positive and false negatives. This will then run in only-cavalry mode for a week and then activate quarantine.
“It is very difficult without this technique to solve this very odd problem in email,” Khoramai said.
Startups, with offices in San Francisco and New York, are currently running a pilot with customers in the US and Europe and already adding three -paying customers, including data privacy compliance software Lokkar and Crypto payment platform Aries Connect. The startup currently has a team of six members.
With fresh investment, Khoramai said the startup plans to expand its technical expertise and build a strong Go-to-Market infrastructure.
