We have heard a lot about Samsung’s three-foldable phone, but the phone name and release date have been uncertain. However, it can now change thanks to two new leaks.
In a recent report, Galaxy Club States said that Samsung has applied for trademark protection for the name Galaxy Z Trifold. For some time, it has been estimated that Samsung will go as a name with Galaxy G fold, but it appears that Samsung may go in a different direction based on this information.
As the names go, the Galaxy Z Trifold is definitely on the brand, it is clear that the phone is part of the same range similar to the Galaxy Z fold 7. It should be noted, however, companies like Samsung are known to trademark several names before the release of the phone. For example, we will not be able to know the name for something until Samsung officially reveals the device.
Another rumor has come out which can give us a better idea when the phone will be released. Originally, we had heard that the Samsung would unveil the device with the Galaxy Z fold 7 and the Galaxy Z Flip 7 during the Hall’s Galaxy Unpack. But as you have seen last week during the incident, it did not happen.
A new leak from the Icenevers can be responded when we will actually look at this three-folding phone. Recently in a post WeiboTipster claimed that Samsung would launch a trifold in October, while also mentioning that the second generation of Huawei’s Met XT, another triple foldable, would be launched in September.
What do we know about Samsung’s three-foldable phone?
There are a lot of rumors about the Galaxy Z Trifold, or G fold, in which it can look. We have heard that the phone will be an inverse-folding device, which allows for a separate cover screen. It will be different from Huawei Mate XT, currently only commercially available triple foldable. Huawei’s device concertinas is in a ‘Z’ shape, where half of the main display is formed in front of the phone.
Talking about the display, we have heard that the main screen size of Samsung Galaxy Z trifold will be 10 inches in size, which will be a significant increase in size compared to the internal performance of 8-inch of Z fold 7. Meanwhile, the cover screen will allegedly measure about 6.49 inches. Unfortunately, there are indications that, like the Galaxy Z Fold 7, the trifold will not have native stylus support, although Samsung is working on a possible solution to re -support for future Galaxy models.
If you were hoping to grab Samsung’s first attempt in a triple foldable, it could be unfortunately difficult. The phone seems to be available only in limited numbers in South Korea and China. Although this can only be a means for Samsung to gauge interest, there are no indications that the phone will be released in other markets yet.
