A few days after testing the Gemini Live vs. Chatp Advanced Voice in the 5-Round Voice-Off, Openai unveiled a major upgrade for the chatup’s advanced voice mode-and it is one of the most obvious indications so far that talking to the AI Assistant may soon be a self-sufficient feeling as chatting with a friend.
For paid users, the upgrade brings more liquid, expressive and human-like speech. According to Openai, Chatgpt now uses subtler intonation, realistic rhythm, and even emotional divine – including satire and sympathy.
If you have ever felt that chat has given the sound of “closed” or very robot, then this update can change your mind.
Talk to chat – and translate it as soon as you go
Beyond the best, the Chatgpt voice is also promoting a major utility: real -time language translation.
Given that real-time translation was declared only as part of Apple Intelligence in WWDC-and Chatgpt now integrates with Siri-the possibility of a time is not a coincidence.
Now you can ask the chat to translate between languages on the fly, and it will continue to translate automatically until you say to stop or switch it.
This means that you can speak English while traveling in Brazil and the chat has translated your words into Portuguese, and then listen as it translates your waiter’s response back to English. No switching app or fambling through the menu. Bus operated by AI is a running, uninterrupted interaction.
Whether you are traveling, navigating a multilingual workplace or just trying to learn a new language, this new translation facility can be a game-changer.
How to try new voice mode
Update advanced voice is now available to all paid Chatgpt users, in all markets and platforms.
Just tap on the microphone icon in the message musician to activate the voice.
It makes the previous update earlier this year that reduced the obstacles and improved the pronunciation performance.
Some known hiccups
Some insects should still be known. Openai states that some sounds may experience minor dips in audio quality or tanwala stability, including odd changes in the pitch.
In rare cases, users can also hear unexpected sounds like fake advertising or random background music. Openai is actively working to fix these “hallucinations” in future updates.
But overall, this upgrade chat is a big step ahead to make the chat more natural, useful voice help.
