Public Internet infrastructure is a significant speed and performance barrier on high-thruput blockchain networks, according to Austin Federa, co-founder and CEO of Dabbalzero, high-speed fiber optic communication rail developing project for blockchain.
“The negative side of the public internet is that it was never created for high-demonstration systems. It was always designed for such a relationship of a large server that talks to a large server,” Federa told Cointelegraph in an interview in Consonus 2025. The executive explained:
“We have verifications worldwide. Rotation of the leader all the time. And then they switch to extremely large broadcasters of data from being a consumer on a large scale. This means that they require huge amounts of resources on both the ingrace and the engrace.”
The executive stated that the obstacle generated by the public internet infrastructure is now a limited factor in blockchain performance and is not calculated of strength or software development.
Network will rapidly create blockchain such as doublezero, decentralized finance (DEFI) spreads to trades, low transactions, and new use cases for blockchain networks that were unavailable due to lack of communication infrastructure earlier.

Doublezero co-established by Austin Federa in 2024
Austin Federa left the Solana Foundation in December 2024 to set up the Dublizero Protocol. The project aims to reduce the delay, it takes time for data to travel in a network, and bandwidth – maximum data traffic can handle a network at once.
In April 2025, Dublzero organized a verification token sales to sell tokens to the node operators desirous of becoming a verification for the network.
Token sales were available only to recognized investors and already active verifications on high-thorruput blockchain networks, including Solana, Celestia, Needle, Aptos, and Awaxlides.
The Dublzero team aims to launch their public mannet in the second half of 2025, after a successful $ 28 million capital growth.
Federa told Cointelegraph that the rapidly high throwput of the blockchain network and the overall development of the industry requires the creation of high-demonstration communication infrastructure, dedicated to meet demand from rapidly sophisticated projects.
