my favorite place Waking up is in a sleeping bag, which is good because I wake up very much while sleeping in a sleeping bag. This is not a bag, it is a pad below me. I have tried all of them (this is part of my job), and while some are definitely better than others, I have never found that every backpacker fulfills – a light, packed sleeping pad that feels that you feel like a bed left at home.
So far, that is. Therm-e-rest is not the lightest of the neoloft sleeping pad 25 ounces-Ultralite readers-but 4.6 inch cushion is a true luxury, and it provides a great night comfort, which can be more valuable than some ounces.
Great weight debate

There are two problems in carrying a large sleeping pad in the backcountry. First, you have to take that weight, and then your pack has the volume of the room. Ultralite community online will try to explain to you that the camp was not as important as your shelter and your sleeping set -up -lower weight, so you can move fast.
Depending on its goals in the backcover, this can be really true. But after trying for a lot of trips, I found that it is not a case for me. For me, taking a little more weight in the form of a heavy tent and a sleeping pad gives me a better night’s sleep, which helps me (on average) to move forward with (on average), but poor sleep.
The new continuous pad of therm-e-rest steps in this weight/size/comfort debate by bending heavily in favor of comfort. It is undeniably large, such as relative to something Therm-e-rest Or Sea for Ether light chain of summit (Our two favorite ultralight sleeping pads). However, for all, neoloft is not He When you are inflated it, when there is a large pack, especially given how big it is.
Neoloft firmly packs down to a size that is just one inch bigger than a nalgen water bottle – an inch larger around and an inch long for a regular wide -sized pad that I tested. It’s a tight squeeze that fits neoloft in me Hyperlight Junction 40 With the rest of my gear, but it works for short trips where I am not taking a ton of food. For trips for more than three or four nights, I need a 55L pack. (Naturally, it will depend a lot on the size of the rest of your gear. You can see what I take Litterpack,
I accept that I was testing this pad. I did not want to bring it with me, but when I really loaded it … I really did not notice an additional 8 ounces on the Nemo Teensor that I usually take. However, I am not trying to win any ultralight award. Rather, I am looking for the right balance between weight and comfort.

I test the organic mattress for wired, and I use approximately the same criteria to judge the sleeping pad. At bedtime, it comes down comfortably how well your pad keeps you warm, how good it relieves, how good it provides, and how stable it is.
