I have been playing PC games since I was a child, but recently I have never done great to do so on TV.
It is not that I do not love pulling the computer in the living room – my apartment is so small that the ease of access can be considered as the sale point of the floor scheme.
As part of my work in Tom’s guide, I get to review some great gaming laptops that you can also buy, so I often get a chance to drop down one on the coffee table and play a little bit of cyberpank 2077 on the big screen.
But even though I love my LG C1 OLED TV, I have liked the experience of navigating Windows 11 on a 65 -inch big screen which is ten feet away. Either I have to bend strangely to use a mouse and keyboard on the coffee table, or I have to balance a laptop or lap tray on my couch.
This is notable, but enough for a problem that I have not taken advantage of all those who have to introduce PC gaming on a large screen – so far.
See, the people of Elkom have recently sent a couple of trackball to test me and since I am also reviewing the 2025 CORSAIR Vennation i8300 desktop, I felt that I would give a shot to their handheld Relackom Wireless Trackball Mouse.
This is a selfish mission, as the CORSAIR makes some great gaming PCs on the market and I wanted to test my hands comfortably with the couch. So when Elcom sent a 2.4 GHz wireless dongle to a relocom, I could not protest.
It does not look so much as small 4-ingules optical mouse TV remote, but there is a bright red trackball at the top. It sits near the front of the mouse in easy access to your thumb, and two button below it sticks out of the front of the device.
In my hand it looks like a half of an Xbox series X controller, except the trigger is the left and right mouse buttons. Chassis is cheap plastic and a little jumps in the trackball frame, so it does not look quite strong as your average game console controller.
But I have been using it for weeks now and relaycon has yet to turn, flakes or otherwise I felt furious in my big mites.
I really like to use this thing on a cheap wireless trackball mouse as it is much more comfortable and easy to use on the couch.
Generally, I have to play something like a trackball or sofa arm on the coffee table with windows or to play something like a civilization VII on my TV. But with Relacon I can only plug the USB-A Dongle to PC, kick back and kick the mouse from all around, but I feel the most comfortable.
Ten buttons are re -assignable through free (and good) Alecom mouse assistant Software, and three DPI settings (500, 1,000 and 1,500) give me some latitude to customize the mouse cursor’s speed to feel comfortable on the big screen.
And when I have not yet got a chance to see how good the battery life is to see how good the battery life is, I have to imagine that this cheap handheld mouse can go on the couple involved in the battery. If I face any unwanted surprise below the road, I will update this article, but after weeks I think Relaconkon can be the best wireless mouse that I have yet to try for PC gaming on the couch.
