I have gone there many times, which inspired me to keep my phone at Silent Mode 24/7. Google then teased a new feature in Android 15, which is called notification Coldown, which promised to change everything. Notification Coldown did not hit the scar in Android 15 at all, but it returned to the latest repetition (Android 16) to ensure that it works absolutely expected.

Notification cooldown manages how many times information can be posted by an application over time. This feature is specially designed to prevent applications from users with much more notifications simultaneously.
What I likes about the notification Coldown is that it helps to ensure that I do not miss important information because my phone was silent (which has happened enough).
The new feature originally arrived with an update of March 2025, which often helps reduce interruptions with information. Once this feature is enabled, it automatically reduces the volume and reduces the alert (two minutes) when several information comes in a short time.

For example, a friend of yours finds out a new dinner that you should try and start text you repeatedly how good it is. With the notification cold, the barrage of the texts is quietly, so you “Ding” Do not have to suffer through or put your phone on silent mode.

Notification Coldown also does not apply to alarm, emergency alert and priority conversations.

Now that the notification has got a chance to gather the coldnown, I found that this feature works because it was intended, which means that those continuous interruptions have been dramatically reduced.
