I have been a working journalist for 15 years, and the way I have been lucky to travel to the world to cover events such as CES, computex, gamecom and more.
It can be a fun part of the job, but it leaves me with a week’s neck value and hurts back pain on my laptop on my laptop.
If I am lucky then I can bring a cheap laptop stand with me and use voice dictation to work a little more comfortable in a hotel room, but when you are covering a major event, you often get stuck by staring at your laptop all day – and it causes havoc on my body.

When a compatible Windows 11 is launched on a laptop, the Xrel Air 2 is plugged with a pair of Ultra AR Glass, the Spacetop shows you an adjustable workspace that is about 100 (virtual) feet floating in front of you.
Spacetop requires a pair of a compatible laptop, $ 699 AR glasses and a pair of $ 199/year membership fee, but in turn you get a piece of software that launches an extended Ar workpiece at any time when you plug into glasses.
It is slightly more useful than the default method. Windows 11 AR behaves with glasses, which only mirrors your desktop and show it floating in front of your vision.
With Spacetop you can pull and leave the apps and windows anywhere on the large -scale floating “wall” where they live until you move them again.

So when I booked a trip to Seattle last week, to cover Microsoft Build 2025, I felt it would be an ideal test for Spastop. In an event like a build, I spend hours to sit in the conference room, who tell people that I type on my laptop, which leads to hours of bending my neck down (with brief matches of wandering around) after writing more hours in my hotel room.
If with being advertised along with the spacetop -I argued, it would be a great help in construction because I could do all that work without interrupting my neck. So when I booked my tickets and packed my bag, I threw the spacetop review unit, blindless gave us a loan in my carry-on and hit the road.
Now that I have come back, I am happy to tell that this was the most comfortable work journey I have ever taken – thank you for Spastop.
I wish AR software was already available in such a way that it was already available.
Simply put, I wish I can use a spacetop or something that takes back to every work journey.
While many times I wanted to remove glasses or disable software, in general my three days in the build were more comfortable and less painful, which I have taken in decades compared to any work journey.
Even if you do not feel comfortably on a pair of heavy AR glasses in the middle of a working meeting, it was such a relief to reach the spacetop software while working during the break or after hours in my hotel.
Certainly, I felt that a huge stupid is working on a laptop with AR glasses in a hotel bar, but was worth it for any social stigma to be able to work for a few hours for a sweet, sweet relief as if someone had taken 2×4 on my back and neck.
The real test from the fire came during Microsoft Major Satya Nadella’s Build Keenote, which I helped to cover the deep to live inside the bowel of Seattle’s Arc Convention Center. Sure, it becomes teduned to wear Xreal glasses and stares on the AR display shining for hours. And $ 200/year membership fee AR is a major financial obstacle for many people at the top for laying $ 700 for a pair of glasses, which incorporates themselves.
But my time covering the build with Spastop was a game-changer that I am already paying for more AR adoption, more competitive productivity software and more applications of AR in the workplace in general.
Perhaps it’s just that I am pushing 40, but I have never felt much emotional that it is important to make ergonomic, comfortable workspace – and the spacetop such as AR software unlocks a new level of computing comfortably.
