Whether you have dangerous branches, limited sun or rotting trunk, removing a problematic tree in your yard can be a big relief.
And while professional tree is common for surgeons only to cut the canopy and trunk, it also means that we often get stuck with the remaining stumps.
But, if you do not want an eye light in your yard, or imagine the dangerous task of using a mill, then you will be happy to know that there is an easy (and rather unusual) way to safely remove a tree stump.
What is more, it contains a natural, domestic component that is usually found in our bathroom cabinets, and simple to use – but only if you are not in a hurry!
So what is this amazing move to remove a tree stump?
Powerful appsom salts

It is better known for its relaxing properties while soaking in the bath, it seems that the humble appsom salt can do so much.
From cleaning tiles and dirty utensils and pans, even to improve your tomato plants, there are many clever ways that you can use Epsom salts around your house – especially in the backyard.
And fortunately, it can be a response to get rid of your tree stump well.
This is because as the appsom salts are absorbed into the tree, it will remove moisture, which will stop growing the root. As a result, it will slowly dry and rot the stump of a tree over time.
What is more, Epsom salt is completely free from toxic chemicals, and is safe to use around children and pets.
Interestingly, these ‘miracles’ salts also contain magnesium and sulfur, which are healthy, essential nutrients for the development of the garden plant.
When used correctly, it can help in the sowing process of the seed, and helps prevent magnesium deficiency in homegron productions such as tomatoes.
But if you want to use it on your stump, you will need to drill several deep holes at the top of the stump (use at least 1 inch drill bit) and fill the hole with salt completely. To moist the salt, pour a small amount of water in each hole and help it absorb in wood. Over time, the magnesium sulfate will speak itself and will still kill the remaining parts of the root system of the tree.
Therefore, if you are stuck with a tree stump, this bathroom staple can be the easiest, and cheap solution to remove it from your yard – as long as you have patience. Because the best estimate on time is that the stumps may take between six months and one year to be soft and easily removable.
