Just when you feel that the portable power stations have become as good as they are going to get, a company moves forward and makes some major changes that you have not yet seen.
Regular readers will know that I am a great fan of the river series of Ecofl of portable power stations. River 2 Pro I have been on many adventure with me, which includes the location of Randleshm Forest on a UFO Hunt Britain’s own Rosewell UFO eventIt is also in my swing in many cold, wet nights. This is one of those Goldelax power stations – not the youngest, and certainly not the largest.

But this is a time of upgradation. And what if this new power station can be smaller than the river 2 Pro, but it can also be bigger
River 2 Pro has given way River 3 PlusAnd it is some tricks above its sleeves.
River 3 Plus is a portable power station with 286Wh capacity that measures 9.2 × 9.1 × 5.8 inches and weighs 10.4 pounds. It has three AC outlets – on one front, two on the rear – 600W good for continuous load and up to 1,200W load. This strength capacity is smaller than 768Wh of 2 Pro River, but it is also about 7 pounds lighter.
There is also a difficult yet comfortable handle on the back for ease of walking in the unit.

Battery automotive-grade LIFEPO4 cells are designed for the previous 3,000 recharge cycles-which are about 10 years of everyday use-they fall to 80%before their capacity.
Cells are preserved for IP54 standards (protected against limited amounts of dust and water splatter from any direction), and the unit shell is designed from a fire fighting polymer designed to avoid a fall of 3-foot/1.5-meter.
It also has a 100W USB-C port, two 24W USB-A port and 12V car outlet.
The cool light on the front is very useful during camping or power cuts.

One of the characteristics that I was particularly interested in trying to try on the river 3 plus calls Ecoflow an X-Ganpower. This is a high efficiency mode that when running the load under Unit 100W, it kicks, and it gives double the runTime.
A small 3W load that otherwise can run the unit up to zero in about 19 hours, now lasting up to 35 hours. I have tested this claim and have obtained results that are aligned with promises of ecofl.

This is very impressive, and given that whatever people run from their power stations fall in this category, users will promote a huge runtime.
There is an AC input port and an XT60 port to charge in the car or from the solar panel. Use of River 3 Plus for those in the form of in-home uninterrupted power supply (UPS), the unit can switch to a battery less than 10 milliseconds. There is also a USB-B port to communicate with PC or NAS devices and allow them to close in terms of prolonged power outage.
The back ports are covered by a flap.

You get options when you talk about charging the unit. Using the grid, you can go from zero to 100% in an hour, the solar using XT60 can be as early as 90 minutes, and car charging can take about three and a half hours.

But the river is more in 3 plus. On the underside, there is a port that allows it to be connected to the expansion battery – 286Wh capacity EB300 (Currently 22% discount and only $ 209) or 572wh capacity EB600 (Currently with a discount of 24% and is yours for $ 418) – and it is what the river allows 3 plus to become a large power station.
Along with promoting large-scale energy, the expansion battery contains 140W USB-C port that can be used to power the devices and to charge the expansion battery (a process that takes 7 hours).

This is the most new solution I have faced for creating expandable power stations. No cable is needed. I love it!
The unit runs completely quietly, but when the fan kicks, it is a quiet 30DB, which is unlikely to feature most people on the radar, even if they are trying to sleep.
Too: This $ 12 USB-C accessory solved the biggest issue with its laptop charger
River 3 Plus has a very calm light – perfect for power cuts and camping – and a snack display that lets you know everything happening with power stations from input and output power to fan status. And for those who make a even more darker dive, of course, the app is connectivity, which also provides remote control.

ZDNET purchase advice
I review a lot of power stations in a year, but Ecoflow River 3 Plus This year I have the first year to make “Oooooh” for some time. The design is similar to other units in the river line, but additional runtims for innovative expansion systems and low-power loads are definitely very quiet.
The unit is only $ 299, making it a very competitive price. If you are looking for a good deal at a small power station, it is for you, doubled if you feel that you want to expand its ability at some point.
