I was tired of spending a premium to get a homcomit-lying gear and thought that there should be a better way. When I found a home assistant, and it completely changed the game for me.
The home assistant took huts from my homcomit setup, and it allows me to use almost any smart home device inside the Apple ecosystem.
Apple’s Homcomit Ecosystem is great, but restrictive
I have got the privilege of using most of the major smart home platforms including Homkit, Amazon Alexa, Google Home, Smartathings and even Home Assistant.

What is Apple Homekit?
Apple’s Homekit Smarthome platform has recently been in news, but many people are unclear on nuances such as how to use it, what you can use with it, and so on.
I have also experienced the reliability (or its lack) of some of these platforms. In my experience, apple’s homekit ecosystem is best there when it comes to controlling devices.
It is simple to use, comfortable, works 9/10 times, and is a great option for Apple’s homes. I like this integration and how easy it is to add new devices to it. However, one thing I am not a fan, this is the price of official homkit goods.
For example, I recently reviewed the EVE Smart Dimber Switch $ 50 – you can find a dimer switch for less than that cost. This requires more certificates for homekit compatibility than other platforms from Apple.
While Matter and Thread are helping to make the multi-platform devices more economical, the native homcits are additional hoops to jump for integration, and overall it makes it more restrictive for the products that you want to add to the Homaccits originally.
Home Assistant expands the abilities of your smart home
Home assistant There is a very good piece of software. As a self-host smart home platform, you will find that the home assistant actually provides more capabilities and integration than almost any other platform. It is universal, works with all major existing smart home platforms, and does not spend a penny to run.

What is a home assistant? And why is not everyone using it?

With home assistants, you can help unite your smart home ecosystem. I know people who use home assistants to integrate equipment with their smart homes that they could not use otherwise, and I know those who use it to handle all their automation.
Automation is actually where home assistants are Excels. I have seen the automation that are equally complicated as a switch turns on between a few hours, and other devices are not turned on, it changes the specific light on a certain brightness. If the same switch is used at some other time, or if other devices are turned on when flipped, something else will be there.
Home Assistant is highly capable on the automation front, but it is not really how I use it. In fact, I do not use a home assistant for automation – I use it to expand my Homcomit Ecosystem.
With Home Assistant, I can use almost any smart device within the homcomb
My favorite part about the home assistant is that it creates almost all the goods with you as he was native to Homkit. It is especially how I use home assistants. It is crazy, but the home assistant almost completely removes handcuffs from your homcomb setup.

How Home Assistant changed my Apple Smart Home for Better
This is not only useful, it also saved me money.
Several months ago, my wife and my wife were shopping on the sale of the yard on Saturday morning, and I came to several smart plugs for each $ 1. Of course, I picked them up, but when I came back home, I came to know that they do not support Homkit.
I did some research and realized that they could pair Tuya and Smart Life App, which is actually basically supported by Home Assistant. So, I added the plug into smart life, and then logged into my Tuya account within the Home Assistant. Within minutes, I had integrated half a dozen smart plugs integrated with homcomit.
This is just one way that I have integrated the non-homkeete gear into the homcomb. I use home assistants to bring my Wyze bulbs and plugs into the products of other brands, as well as other brands. I also took my WEMO/Belkin Smart Home Gear, which required a separate hub for Homkit and stopped using the hub due to home assistants.
Another large part of the home assistant is the community. For example, Wyze’s official home assistant is not integrated. Although, Hacs (Home Assistant Community Store) is a Wyze Integration that works innocently with it. Hacs also provides integration for brands such as Xiaomi, Anker SOLIX, Polestar, and more.
Overall, I could not run my smart home without a home assistant. The fact is that I am able to integrate and control it also to integrate the most budget-focused smart home gear with Homkit, which is basically fully game-changing, and the home assistant is something that I cannot live without this point.
Maybe one day I will work on using home assistants for automation, but now I use Homkit for it because it works very well and keeps all my belongings under one roof.
If you are looking for a way to expand your Homcomit setup on a budget, try home assistants. Posting is easy, you can run it about any hardware, and it works imaginary!
