You know how in old TV shows, important people will have a wall of television so that they can monitor everything going on in the world? It is a ridiculous concept and is completely impractical. This is also something you can do.

Tv wall There is a free website that shows nine random TV news stations around the world. This can be useful during an election or other disclosure during the international phenomenon, allowing you to see how news organizations in different countries are covering things. But I am not going to show off that it is a practical tool. It is fun to play with most.

Go to the site and you will be presented with nine channels organized in three-three-three grids. A panel on the left lets you customize the size of the grid, if you want, and you can also close the weird matrix-style around all the TVs. A reshuffle button allows you to watch all new channels or you can scroll down in the panel on the left side to filter the channels by the language or country.

Scroll forward below and you will get a point for unmute feature, which will uncute whatever channel is currently under your mouse cursor – it makes it easy to track what is being said on all channels. Or, if you want to be more inactive, you can randomly jump from the channel to the channel.

You can manually change channels – just hover on a video to watch a top bar. You can use drop down to choose a specific channel. You can also make the audio unmute or make the current channel a full screen.

What do you think so far?

The actual channels offered are all those you can legally stream on the web if you want. This includes BBC, Bloomberg, Australia’s ABC and many US network TV channels. What this site provides, at the same time has the ability to monitor a group of these channels.

I find it attractive how easy it has been to watch TV on the web, for free. If you are looking for similar sites, I recommend checking our list of TV channels, which you can stream for free or in our roundup of retro TV sites. You will never be bored again.
